  • welcome to T P M bids YouTube beat where we talk about and update you on all the ridiculous things happening right now with YouTube.

  • Give away one more day.

  • Feeder entered a have a chance to win one of three prizes, including a set of four Magicbands ah, $50 Chuck E cheese gift card and a $150 Disney gift card.

  • If you haven't entered yet, there's over 20 ways you can enter, which will give you a least 20 entries into the giveaway.

  • So check out the link down below now.

  • The giveaway closes at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard time on Friday, December 22nd and the winners will be announced on Saturday, December 23rd at the end of the brand new Disney beat episode going up that day.

  • So best of luck TPM crew on that give away.

  • Now let's talk a bit about YouTube toe update you guys that have been following along with what's been happening.

  • First off Even with all the issues going on, we passed 150,000 subscribers.

  • So a huge thank you for that.

  • Now, since the last update video, nothing has really gotten better regarding the specific issues, and YouTube doesn't seem concerned at all about their creators.

  • If you want to catch up with everything, the other two videos are linked down below.

  • So in December 12th we received another email from YouTube creative support with a very similar copy and paste in response received in a previous message on Lee.

  • This time, it implied TPM bids was masquerading as family content.

  • Clearly, they aren't using actual human eyes to look into the channel and relying heavily on bots that aren't properly trained.

  • We still have the issue where the affected videos are completely removed from search and recommended, but we really appreciate the support you've been showing on the re up loads of certain videos.

  • We've now re edited and re uploaded three videos so far, and those were the top 10 Disney ride breakdowns, the top 10 extinct Chucky cheese animatronics and the top five extinct Disney animatronics.

  • So if you haven't seen those videos yet, it would really mean a lot if you could go and check out those videos, TPM crew and share them wherever you can.

  • We also received a lot of messages from you guys saying YouTube didn't send out notifications for the last couple of videos, so just check to make sure you two didn't turn those off on you because they've been doing that as well.

  • Isn't YouTube great now?

  • Last week, you two released a new message on their monetization icon page that said, You may be experiencing an issue where you may see a gray monetization icon even though you have monetization turned on in these cases, you should see a yellow icon indicating that the video has been identified as not suitable for most advertisers were aware of this issue and are working to resolve it Well, I guess that's one step in the right direction, but they aren't working fast enough when this issue started on November 27th and now it's almost been a whole month.

  • So some of our videos did turn from greater yellow, but many of them are still gray.

  • We requested a manual review on the ones with the yellow icon, since there's no reason why they should be marked as not suitable in the first place.

  • It's been over eight days now, and YouTube still hasn't reviewed those videos.

  • We've had some of the more recent uploads, like the Festival of Fantasy Parade video, get hit with a yellow not suitable for advertisers icon as well, which is completely ridiculous, since it's a video about a Disney parade.

  • But after a day YouTube reviewed and confirmed, the video was, in fact okay, so they are reviewing videos, but they haven't looked at the others that have essentially been delisted.

  • Those four videos haven't been bringing in much viewer traffic since they're essentially delisted off the site, and YouTube says that the videos need to have a least 1000 views within a seven day period, so this could be the reason why they still haven't reviewed them.

  • But they also usually review videos from creators with over 10,000 subscribers, no matter what the views are like.

  • So nothing really makes sense in this situation here.

  • But the main issue isn't whether the videos are monetized or not.

  • It's how they've disappeared off the site and search and recommended and how that hasn't been addressed at all by YouTube, and frankly, I don't think they ever will.

  • Even YouTube themselves says the not suitable for most advertisers icon does not mean the video is limited in search and discovery.

  • Advertiser preferences are not used to inform how videos display on YouTube.

  • So if this is, in fact true YouTube, then where are the videos, Huh?

  • How come they're still completely nowhere to be found on your site?

  • Who even contacted creators support on a brand new ticket?

  • Just to see if we can get a different answer about one of the videos that's monetized but still isn't appearing in search results?

  • And they responded, saying that search rankings for discovery ability are generated by the algorithm and advised us to review the creator Academy best practices, which is a complete joke because this isn't about a video ranking low and search results.

  • It's about videos completely disappearing from searches.

  • You contact creator support, you got copying pasted responses.

  • You contact team YouTube on Twitter, and they're even more lost and have no idea with what's going on.

  • Still, at this point, it's really unclear what's gonna be happening with TPM vids in 2018 since views as a hole on the channel have hit an all time low since February 2017 were so months away from getting the channel back to where it was.

  • But as of right now, we aren't having any major issues monetizing current videos.

  • So hopefully with your support and with everyone watching and sharing the videos as much as possible, we can get CPM vids back on its feet.

  • In the meantime, from now into 2018 we're gonna keep creating new videos, plus re editing and uploading some more of the loss videos, including some of the Disney bloopers in the weeks to come.

  • And just in case we have started a Facebook page, if you want to fall away, you confined the page at facebook dot com slash TPM bids once again, thanks so much for the support TPM crew.
