  • you know, let me just turn a little bit here because I first thought a group.

  • Gary, I think there's a lot of exciting work going on in his lab in labs around the world, but make no mistake about it.

  • There are a lot of great products that come out of our India, various companies, that air totals, market flops because for whatever reason, people don't like him.

  • They're not market whatever.

  • We currently vaccinate today routinely for 17 different diseases in the United States.

  • We're having a harder time getting people vaccinated today than we did a decade ago.

  • I think to compare back even 22 decades ago is no fair comparison today.

  • We're now immersed in several very important international trends.

  • One is the anti science movement.

  • It's not just about vaccines, whether it's climate change and go through a laundry list and we now she can show you.

  • It's not even about education that some of the most highly educated people in the world actually have some of the most anti scientific views on a number of different topics, and we don't understand why we used to think education would take care of that.

  • It's not.

  • We're constantly getting pushed back on vaccines, and that's number one.

  • I think that's a challenge we have known.

  • When you mentioned, for example, hero about Agilent's.

  • These chemicals, you can add number one reason people won't take a flu vaccine.

  • You're afraid of regiments, so there's a lot of issues there.

  • Second thing, and Lori mentioned it.

  • I just want to add the piece.

  • It's a global issue right now that I don't think we fully understand.

  • Over roughly 40 countries in this world today are in what are considered failed state status that nobody knows for sure who the hell's in charge.

  • If you look at Pakistan and Afghanistan, classic examples, it's not about the polio vaccine not being able to work.

  • It's about Can it work because it can be used?

  • And we're seeing today think about this.

  • With seven billion people in the face of the earth today, one of every eight people has ever lived going back to the case is now in the face of the earth and with the mega cities we have around the world with the infrastructure issues for public health.

  • Even in this country, where if you look at public health infrastructure today, meaning people on the job.

  • It is suffering miserably compared to what it was 5 to 7 years ago.

  • And so all these trends are the trends.

  • We don't talk about that and about the laboratory.

  • They're not about the scientific study.

  • They're not about the actual what we like the scientists to deal with her, the data, their reality.

  • And I fear that the reality push is kind of like that great swimmer that can swim for miles an hour.

  • But he's in a river with a current going eight miles an hour down stream and think where you're at the end of an hour, and I think that's the challenge we have before today.

  • It's not just the vaccines, it's not just the theory, it's not just the economics.

  • It's all these other issues that really come together to determine what will be our successful picture or lack thereof.

you know, let me just turn a little bit here because I first thought a group.
