( theme music playing ) Hello, I'm Gav. I'm Dan. Welcome to the "Super Slow Show." When we were deciding what to drop from our immense 80-foot crane, we were thinking of different items. You know, you got to pick something relatable. Something that everyone sees. Maybe something from a living room. And then I thought why don't we just drop a living room? Yeah. So here we are. I'm really quite impressed at this, to be honest. It's lovely. The lights even work. Well, this picture-- what? I may have sourced the pictures. Why is yours normal? That's not the picture I gave them. I may have overridden the picture you sent. I say mod cons, but that TV is probably from the early '90s, I think. We know full well that old TVs smash way better. That's true. All that matters, though, is we've got sweets and comfy chairs. Rather lovely. I might just take a minute. and have a nice chillsy. ( creaking ) Whoa there! Not yet! Not yet! All right, let's get out. Do you know what's an odd sight? I was just about to say that. That is not normal. I mean, what floor is that? It's like dropping a story from eight stories. I think it's about eight stories. Or something like that, isn't it? I mean, is it all going to fall at the same time? Is the room gonna fall first, and then... Hopefully, we'll just get some flying furniture. Three, two, one, drop! Oh, God! Man! Should we check to see if that's still a room? Yes, yes. The floor may have caved in just slightly. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's because of the TV, where the TV was. The TV was so heavy that it bowed the floor where it stood. You see that? The mirror broke. That's another seven for you. Why for me? Well, don't you get all the bad luck? I did say three, two, one. That's fair. Oh, there's sweets everywhere. Look. Your picture's fallen out. Oh, no! How would you care to take a look at some of that playback, Dan? Absolutely. I'm intrigued to see what happened. Hmm. - Look at that! - Flare! Gav: I never thought I would see the sun bounce off a mirror in a falling room into my eyes. Think about that photon that came from the sun and hit that mirror in a falling room. And then hit the sensor on the Phantom. Mental. I like that the only thing that's lifted is the cushion by about an inch. Everything else has just stayed exactly where it was. This one actually doesn't show much. But I love how surreal this shot is. Gav: All right. Here's the lovely close-up. Dan: Whoa! All the furniture's sunk into the floor. The mirror went. The light went. Gav: The feet from the chair just goes straight through the floor. Dan: I like how everything here on the walls is coming down. And everything that was in the room is now going up. Gav: Yeah. It's like when you drop a room, they meet in the middle. Yeah. Yeah. Dan: The TV didn't break. It just sort of smashed a bit. I feel like that living room didn't really represent our personalities. There's no toilet? Well, be weird in the living room. - Fair. - Just feel like it wasn't classy enough. So I've arranged just a little sweetener. - Okay. - Let's get behind the blast shield. Ooh. Three, two, one, go! Oh! Very briefly, the room was significantly classed up. One microsecond later, back to normal. I love how such an intricate instrument is just so delicate. And then suddenly-- why is a piano the classic thing that falls down every time as well? Why is that? I feel we're just oddly inspired by cartoons. Yeah. Let's go and check the keys, Does it still function? No. - So that's what it looked like. - Yeah. To be fair, you said you hadn't seen a room before. Yeah. I've definitely seen a piano falling before. Pianos often fall. They do for some reason. It's just a classic. Either that, or a big safe. Yeah. Quite pretty, the background. Oh! Tipped well forward! Gav: The thing is, it's so top-heavy that it landed like jam on toast does. It always lands the jam side down. Dan: Always is keys down on a piano. Gav: Yeah. Not a bad aim. That's probably where I would have put it. - Dan: In the room? - Oh, maybe not on the couch. I'd have put it slightly to the side, I think. The mirror took it even more. That's your bad luck now. Eh, it was already broken. Oh, God. Dan: So the room is classy... now. Gav: Pure class. - Ruined. - Oh, ruined. Much better. - Yeah. - Yeah. Cool. Not a bad way to watch the sunset. A little bit breezier in this room than it was. - Panoramic views, though, right? - Yeah. Why did you drop the piano on my chair? Yours is pretty much intact. It was an accident. I mean, I got clipped a little bit. Nothing left of yours. Well, this is a sweet, here. Yeah. Hopefully, you enjoyed that video. Feel free to subscribe to the Slow Mo Guys. And we'll see you in the next episode of the "Super Slow Show." Yeah. Whoa! You all right there? Hello. Gav here. I'm Dan. Click here to watch Dan get slammed by pro wrestlers. I have no memory of that. You may have landed on your head just a bit. Is that why I woke up in the woods? No comment.
