  • Now having strong values and ethics and also having a desire to work in a large, multi talented organization like the N hs, I believe I will make a great manager because I am calm under pressure.

  • Those are really important.

  • So because it's the first interview question of your N HS manager interview, you want to make sure that you get off on the right footing and I believe that type of response will achieve just that next question.

  • Why did you want to work for the N hs?

  • So they want to understand why you've chosen to work as a manager for the N HS because, as I said at the beginning, you know you need a unique set of skills because it's a unique organization.

  • So we need to be careful in our response to this question.

  • H.

  • S is a manager's simply because my own personal values are a strong match for those of the N HS.

  • For example, I will work with my team to ensure everything we do is focused on a commitment to quality of care, helping to improve people's lives, on also ensuring we work for everyone inclusively regardless of their background, their circumstances or their beliefs.

  • In order for the L A chest to be effective in its strategic aims and goals.

  • It requires its managers to lead by example.

  • And I'm ready to do exactly that.

  • What's focusing intently on their neck chest values that are at the core of everything it does?

  • That's a good answer because you're focusing it on the at HS values, which I believe you will be asked a question around at some stage.

  • Join your interview.

  • So let's tackle that one right now.

  • Tell me what you understand about the N.

  • H s values and how you will apply them within this managerial role.

  • So here we go.

  • Here's my answer.

  • There are six N hs values, and these are working together for patients.

  • Respect and dignity, commitment to quality of care, compassion, improving lives and everyone counts.

  • Their values underpin everything the talented and passionate people of the NHL's do on a daily basis, and it will be vital that I, too, put them at the core of my work whilst performing my duties as a manager.

  • I would apply all of them within my work by assessing how I can align them within each team, task or project.

  • I am responsible for managing, for example, if I'm working on a project and someone suggests there is a cheaper, more cost effective way of doing things.

  • I would only agree to do this if it did no undermine our commitment to quality of care and also our commitment to improving patients lives that shows that you understand the values.

  • Make sure that you do look at the n hs values for the particular trust that you're applying for.

  • But those are the generic six court and a chest values, and you need to put them at the core of everything you do now.

  • Okay, so here we go.

  • I was working in a previous role as a manager, managing a team of people who'd been through many changes over the years.

  • Now it was clear they were tired, they would be motivated and they also lacked ambition.

  • I started off by speaking to them collectively.

  • To get a feel is to how they all felt the team was performing, the challenges they were facing and also what was important to each of them as individuals.

  • This proved to be a worthwhile exercise.

  • Is it enabled me to assess what motivated the team and also what the strengths and weaknesses were of each team member and then created a plan of action for the team to work towards with specific tasks, allocated two team members based on their strengths and their ambitions, and then supported the team helped them to overcome challenges as a rose also praise them whenever they achieved key milestones or goals.
