  • you remember my last video where I showed you that this We decided to call Nebula because of what it looks like with the lights on.

  • But I also said in that video, a major problem here is this SL I bridge.

  • And although there are aftermarket bridges and stuff that we could get, that would look nice.

  • We like to mock things around here.

  • So today we are going to be modifying this guy to match this girl.

  • Most of this guy's baby was a girl.

  • You guys, I got new merge.

  • It's available now.

  • Probably dot com slash tasty sense.

  • Guys slip up hoodies.

  • We got tri blend.

  • We got a new logo.

  • I digress.

  • Since 2012 it's a rest.

  • A little.

  • He has been asking for that anyway.

  • Way kinds of stuff.

  • Zipper, putties, beanies, polos.

  • Don't take my word for it is obviously I can't do this ad.

  • So just looking description below when you guys find the link.

  • Thanks.

  • Number where That there are other s ally bridges on the market.

  • I just have always really liked the way that the in video one looks Part of the problem with Ian Video one is you get a white led on the gold one, usually one of the gold ones that sent us that a green led.

  • That wasn't supposed to be the case, but I digress.

  • So the gold one, which is designed to just they made a gold one just to match the Titans has, as you can see, a gold logo, which, even if I paint this or change the color of this, I saw gold thinning or screws with It's called Screws gold Screws, which won't look good.

  • This one has a chrome or like a nickel backing, because the light is kind of shines through that.

  • And then it's got the silver screws.

  • So that's why we're not using that one.

  • The white led would be nice, and I can't just swap over the Led, but because we're doing that blue pink kind of a purple E Nebula theme.

  • And it's named after Nebula, not just for the Avengers character, who I feel is incredibly underrated.

  • She was one of my favorite characters in the entire M See You, but also just the way the Galaxy Nebula thing looks super.

  • And with Phil.

  • In AJ's latest obsession with Korbel Space program and then the new one coming out.

  • I thought I thought that this was perfect to play Curb All space program to Nebula.

  • Things come apart pretty easy.

  • They just split in half There.

  • Basically clamshells should be a part of my fingernails.

  • If not, I'll use the little spreader things that come with my eye fixit kit that my wife got me for Father's Day because it's not sponsored, and I bought myself one.

  • Actually, she bought me two of them.

  • But just another perfect example of why I used my trusty I fix a kit that my wife got me on Father's Day a couple years back.

  • Does he see I got this little plastic spreader thing is, which means I can now take this apart without scratching it up.

  • So if you guys would like to get your very own, I fix a kit, not a sponsor.

  • Check the link in the description below.

  • It comes apart just like that.

  • So here's the bottom half, which is kind of funny because I showed this before.

  • That looks like it's a separate black piece.

  • It's not.

  • This is actually probably a clear piece of plastic that as you can see it's painted on the bottom and because we have a red agreed a blue wire and then we have a yellow and a black I'm almost positive The yellows power the black is ground in the R is the green and the red is the red wire RGB has just made about three different led.

  • It's a white led Theo Green wire is the green.

  • This is actually an RGB thing that once again, they decided not to lunch.

  • So what we've got to do now, we've got a mask off the parts that we don't want painted.

  • Always said it would paint the black.

  • I could paint the whole thing, but I don't want it painted black.

  • So that's why I brought over some of my stuff from my model making my model building a model ship building because you know what?

  • I like boats.

  • Well, uh, I'm thinking general corners, actually, the German boat.

  • So it's two guns, so this isn't really a tutorial.

  • I don't want you guys to think it is such I just like making these videos to sort of give you ideas to sort of inspire, I guess, and come up with your own techniques or whatever this is literally, just as if I were working on one of my models, and I'm currently working on a 200 scale Missouri for nine months Now.

  • This tape, though, that I am using this is by Tanya, and it's a super fine, very crisp edge.

  • It's designed for masking, obviously, just like this.

  • And what it's gonna allow me to do is get a really crisp line when I do trace it out with my Exacto knife.

  • So I'm not gonna worry about masking off the black on the bottom.

  • You're not going to see it.

  • It's like that.

  • But the black here I did mask off also to the c thru window because we don't want this to all be.

  • I want the two tone.

  • But the other thing that views withstand this down.

  • Although it's already really smooth, it's got that plastic textures.

  • Were we doing a light 2000 great standing on it just to make it a little bit smoother, because the effect that we're going for here requires it to be smooth, and I'll show you exactly what we're gonna be going for here now, a little fun fact.

  • Little fun note.

  • When I'm doing, like weathering on boats and stuff because you have this this high ridge, you can also make things look weathered this way by sanding down on the edges and making the edges all dark.

  • See that it started looking kind of aged.

  • That's kind of funny, because the paint on here is so thin and because the underlying plastic is black.

  • When you stand all the high high spot to the edges, it starts to look like something from borderlands.

  • But that would you call it Sell?

  • Associate it.

  • Yeah, it looks like So if you're looking for that effect, you're out them.

  • So here's what I've done.

  • I just sanded it down to give the really smooth texture with 2000 Great.

  • It's ridiculously smooth because that's what we want.

  • We don't want the kind of a what's, ah, be blasted.

  • Texture is what it kind of looked like before.

  • I didn't go ham on the bottom because again, you don't see it just to try and make it his uniforms possible.

  • I did do the edges because that's where they made together.

  • So I want them to, uh, look consistent I wanted to be a texture changed between the two, but now you might be going.

  • Okay, Jury know you're doing the right.

  • Okay, just No, actually, we're not doing that.

  • So a follower of mine on Twitter with the handle of craft computing, and it's also a website crashed competing dot net.

  • You guys can go check it out If you feel like he gave me this suggestion.

  • He said, get liquid chrome, and what you could do with this is you can thin it slightly, put in an airbrush and get some really cool effects.

  • So I went I get an airbrush already told you guys I like to do model, building and stuff.

  • So here's my to my dual stage airbrush airbrush cleaner and step over there I don't need So we gotta do now before we start using this stuff.

  • In fact, I kind of want to show you what it looks like real quick because this is just to give you an idea who she looks just like liquid metal.

  • But I'm also not gonna just hook up my compressor and put my spray gun together and starts Brand, I've got to build a little spray booth because I care about over spray.

  • And even if I'm only running like 20 p.

  • S, I and that spray gun or my hairbrush, the fumes will get everywhere.

  • I've inhaled enough fumes of the last couple weeks.

  • I don't feel like inhaling more.

  • You know means you could spend 100 bucks on buying a spray booth.

  • We're gonna build your own like I do at home.

  • Ah, All right, so here we go.

  • Here is my homemade spray booth who got double filters here because thes these filters, I got, like, the cheapest ones that Lois had.

  • It was like three bucks for the pair to Tokyo.

  • Cheap it is.

  • So I double them up just to make sure I wasn't getting stuff through the filters and through my fan.

  • Although this fan has tons of paint on it in previous projects, let's give you an idea.

  • You see how it sucks it in?

  • There's a good example right there.

  • Right?

  • Got stuck.

  • So we could do now is go ahead and get our airbrush set up with our liquid chrome.

  • I've never used this.

  • Fortunately, brought all of my cleaning supplies because the last thing I want that stuff hardening up inside of my airbrush, which is not a cheap one.

  • Trust me.

  • When you start airbrushing.

  • It's kind of like a black hole where you get sucked in and you're like, Oh, I want this nice.

  • I want a nicer one.

  • Dual action.

  • Yeah, The other thing I have to do a quick two is I've got to come up with something to stick these on so I can handle it and turn it around normally, Just use, like, a bit of like, I need a racer, But I don't think I might have some more.

  • Actually, you'd stick, like, need a racer on there and you put on the of a bottle, and then you can turn the whole part as your painting and stuff you don't want to be handling.

  • Obviously.

  • All right, so I've decided I'm just gonna go ahead and go for it.

  • Do the bottom first.

  • I'm gonna go ahead and go for it and just go to lunch and let it dry and see how it turns out.

  • So I turn this light off.

  • That way, you guys can get an idea.

  • A better idea of how the first coats turned out there's still a lot of, like over spray on it.

  • This is gonna have to be sanded and polished as well.

  • But you could see just how shining this looks, and I'm hoping that this will turn out good.

  • You can see there's some bumps and ridges might be little bit of trash in there, but you can kind of see why I'm doing that.

  • We're gonna cut this video right now.

  • We don't know yet how we're gonna end this because I never worked with that before.

  • But you can kind of see the way it's gonna match, right?

  • Kind of the way it's gonna I mean, remember, that's gonna be black right there, too.

  • So as it's drawing, some of that haze affect this sort of disappearing.

  • So we went, looked up.

  • This stuff we're like, how long is this stuff take to dry the bottom piece?

  • I sort of like put a heat gun on it just for a second, see what would happen, and it immediately bubbled right there.

  • But it's actually dry where I put it on there.

  • Now we've found that most people were like, Yeah, it's dry to the touch in like a day or 20 and then one day I was like, Yeah, for it to be its full hardness takes up to two weeks.

  • So what we are going to probably do now is we're going to go and get some of the cry lawn.

  • I never know that that was on there.

  • That's pretty.

  • We're gonna probably cry line paint, which is acrylic.

  • We just looked it up online.

  • It's a chrome paint from crime on because it's acrylic Aiken, D cannon, which means I can spray it into, like, a cup or something.

  • And then I can put that in my airbrush, thin it out and then spray that, actually, but there's still some air assault in the paint, so I've gotta get it all out.

  • Well, I'm painting the one of the gold ones.

  • I kind of want to see how it turns out, but this will certainly need to be like polished after, so this one's already dry, so I'm just gonna do a light wet sending on this 2000 grid.

  • See, it's standing right through, see, So looks like right in two weeks.

  • So that's the one I screwed up obviously.

  • But this one man is that one looking good.

  • All the aerosol like that.

  • Well, I'm a little disappointed, so because the back part, I just completely barked and screwed up.

  • I'm probably gonna take the back of the other one.

  • America still sandal this I really can do the heat.

  • Really did harden it.

  • I mean, I'm just saying I want to see what that Sands like.

  • I'm serious.

  • I'm just gonna end up taking the back of the Goldwyn or whatever, and just paint it black, and then it'll be the backside of it.

  • Doesn't need to be silver like back.

  • But you?

  • Yeah.

  • Just still tacky, huh?

  • Yeah.

  • It's still look like it's hard, but soft.

  • If that makes sense, it's not.

  • It's not transferring paint to my fingers.

  • This is paint from the other stuff.

  • But it's not dry yet, either.

  • Which means afraid, coming like tomorrow or the next day.

  • It probably would've been fine.

  • What I need to do is just take this one, which I've already kind of got this base coat, sort of one of the other stuff.

  • Maybe I just need to put a coat on that and then leave it here.

  • You mean like over the weekend?

  • Theo, I gotta clean.

  • This brush is completely clogged now with the aerosol stuff.

  • All right, so it's all cleaned up now on holding air.

  • I had to clean the valve down in there.

  • Some of the aerosol got in there, which made it kind of dirty.

  • And we have dirty or rings.

  • They don't feel very well.

  • As you can see, it's all good to go.

  • That's a little bit sticky right there.

  • About two polish that a little bit.

  • Sounds like a dirty again.

  • Sometimes the best things are worth waiting for.

  • So time to end the video.

  • I had hoped to show you a finished product, but this one's gonna take some time to dry.

  • Fortunately, it will have all weekend to sit here.

  • Hopefully, we can handle it in a couple of days.

  • We've seen things online say takes 24 hours to harden.

  • We've seen people say it's not really hard to weeks, so I guess we'll come back and visit this on Monday.

  • It won't make a video about it.

  • You guys would just see it the next actual update.

  • Part of that.

  • So this one didn't go as planned as sometimes it happens.

  • That's all the time it happens.

  • You guys know of any chrome envy?

  • Link bridges?

  • Please tweet me and put comments down below of chrome s ally bridges.

  • So I don't do this.

  • Alright, guys.

  • We'll see the next one.

  • Gotta clean this guy again.

  • You have no control over that.

  • You're playing control Someone pulling fish for lunch.

you remember my last video where I showed you that this We decided to call Nebula because of what it looks like with the lights on.
