  • you guys welcome back to flog mus and back to my home in Morioka.

  • I'm so happy to be back.

  • It's really nice.

  • I am up really early this morning because I'm going to the eyelash salon to get my eyelashes done.

  • Ah, salon, actually contact me on Instagram and asked if I wanted to be a model for them.

  • It's not like a proper model or anything.

  • It just means that they will give me a Nile Ash treatment for free in exchange for them being able to use my photos on their instagram.

  • She's going to give me an eyelash perm, which is awesome because that's really the one like trouble I have with my eyelashes is they don't hold a curl at all.

  • I've tried curling mascara's.

  • I've tried heated eyelash curlers.

  • I can get them curled in the beginning, and then as soon as I put mascara on them, they just go straight again.

  • So I found the perm.

  • England is really the only way to keep them cold, and it usually lasts for about a month, so it's pretty awesome.

  • I am going to attempt to film the process for you guys today, so if you've never had an eyelash perm and you're interested in what it's like, then keep on watching, really do recommend it.

  • It's nice because your eyelashes just look instantly good in the morning.

  • You don't have to do anything to them, and she's going to tempt them for me as well.

  • So that'll be nice, because my eyelashes, they're pretty blonde.

  • So let's head to this one.

  • I'm gonna catch a taxi because there's no train that goes there, Unfortunately, and it's kind of far away.

  • The phone is so cute.

  • Look, they have my name.

  • You don't wait.

  • I gotta go.

  • So Step One, she applies a tape to my lower lashes, and this is so that they don't get mixed in with the upper ones and get permed because trust me, it's happened before, and it's not a good thing.

  • Next, she applies thes little round foam rollers to my eyelids and gently combs my upper lashes onto them so that they stick to them.

  • And these rollers are what are going to give my lashes the round curled shape.

  • Here she is applying thief, first permitting solution.

  • Next, she uses these little mini hair dryers to heat my lashes so that the perm will last longer.

  • Now it's time to apply the second permitting solution.

  • After sitting there with the solution on my eyelashes for a few minutes, she is now removing it with a cotton bud.

  • Now she is applying the black tint to my eyelashes too dark in them, and now we're on the final step.

  • She's removing the black tint and also the foam rollers and all the tape from around my eyes.

  • This'll entire lash permitting.

  • Intending process takes a boat one hour, and it's not painful or uncomfortable at all.

  • Decided to walk home because the snow's really nice.

  • I always think this store, it's a pet store.

  • And then I get really disappointed when I realised I totally shallow.

  • This is the main street downtown.

  • It's called Old Georgie.

  • This is where all the exciting stuff happens at night time, but in the days not really much going on.

  • It's mostly bars and pubs, restaurants.

  • Snow is so pretty.

  • I wish it would show on camera.

  • This dentist is amazing.

  • It's the only building in Morioka that has proper Christmas decorations, and every time I come to see it, they've got more up.

  • It's too bad.

  • It's brighter right now.

  • I want to show it to you guys.

  • All right, I am back.

  • Let me give you guys a close up of how my eyelashes turned out.

  • I'm currently wearing mascara, so this is how they look with makeup on them.

  • And I'll insert a clip here so you guys can compare how they look without makeup.

  • Honestly, they still look pretty good without doing anything to them.

  • But I like them to be a little more full and darker.

  • But I'm super happy with how they turned out.

  • She did a really great job.

  • I thought my eyelashes done in other countries, and it was actually disaster every single time.

  • One time the lady didn't tape my bottom lashes down properly, and they also got curled up and have these bottom lashes that were like sticking up for a month.

  • It was horrible.

  • I didn't cutting him off because they were so ridiculous.

  • And I've had an eyelash tint gone wrong where the tent leaked onto my eyelids and stained from block for a couple weeks.

  • It's just like about the worst experiences, but every single time I get my eyelashes done here in Japan, they turn out perfect.

  • The experience is great.

  • There's no pain.

  • It's not uncomfortable.

  • So if you are in Japan, I do recommend stopping by an eyelash salon and getting something done.

  • If it's something that you normally wouldn't do in your country, treat yourself to something new.

  • You can really trust Japanese salons.

  • They're really good at what they do.

  • And I actually asked the lash technician today why it is that when I get them done in outside of Japan that it usually burns like it hurt so much.

  • And she told me it's because the laws regarding the solutions that they use here in Japan, both for hair and eyelashes, are super strict.

  • So the chemicals that they use are a lot less harsh.

  • So that's why it doesn't irritate my skin or burn my eyes when I get them done here.

  • The eyelash perm itself costs a boat 6000 yen.

  • It will differ depending on which salon you go to, of course, comparing the eyelash perm to the other option eyelash extensions, which I also like to do.

  • I find myself switching between the two of them.

  • I go back and forth.

  • I like eyelash extensions because, of course, they add Maura volume and length to your natural lashes, and they tend to just look nicer there, more impactful.

  • But they usually last only about three weeks, whereas the eyelash perm lost over a month and eyelash extensions are a little more expensive.

  • I would say they would start at about 8000 yen here.

  • So about 20 more dollars on the perm.

  • Another bummer about eyelash extensions is you have to be really careful when you're washing your makeup off.

  • You can't really scrub your eye area.

  • It'll whereas with the perm, you can just treat your eyes like normal.

  • You don't need to worry about it at all.

  • Scrubbing or rubbing around your eye area will affect the perm in any way we'll help.

  • This video was helpful to any of you guys that are curious about eyelash perms.

  • If you are living in Japan, I highly recommend that you use the hot pepper beauty app when you're making any kind of beauty reservation.

  • They always have really great coupons on there, and I normally save about 20 bucks every time I make an appointment for my hair or my nails or my eyelashes.

  • You do need to have a Japanese phone number to sign up.

  • So if you're just in Japan for a vacation, it would be difficult for you to use the AP unless you can convince a friend to let you use their phone number to sign up.

  • But if you are living here, do checking out a highly recommended I make all my appointments through there, and it's also great because I don't need to phone this lawn to make an appointment.

  • I can do that.

  • All of your that as well.

  • So that saves me talking awkwardly in Japanese on the phone.

  • And for those of you that are still here at the end of the video, I want to give you the opportunity to ask me a question for a Q and A.

  • Please leave a question down below.

  • I'm gonna be doing lots of chill videos from my bedroom.

  • For the remainder of long, Miss, I'm gonna be spending lots of time here in Morioka.

  • I also want to take you guys outside to explore the town a bit and check out some new restaurants that I've been eyeing as well so look forward to that.

  • I will see you right back here again for another episode of Log, mister or Oh, thanks so much watching, guys.

  • Bye.
