  • Hey guys. Salut, This is Alex.

  • My haircut is nothing to be proud of, but I'm renovating this space.

  • This is part 2 of the studio renovations

  • I could go into details about what and what I'm going to do,

  • but there's no time to waste. Let's start.

  • So that's the first step of my desk.

  • Not bad,

  • Not great.

  • So it's the next day.

  • I've been facing this hinge problem.

  • Look at this

  • They have some flex to them.

  • These are not the type of hinges that you are supposed to use on a fold-away table like this.

  • This is what you should be using.

  • Twenty two blanking Euros for two hinges!

  • Wow

  • Super silly.

  • The seam is definitely more visible now than it was before

  • but at least

  • it's solid. It's rock solid. Yes!

  • Editing, and then, let's shoot.

  • Eeeeee-pshu!

  • You need a paint job.

  • Why did you think that there was two black legs and one blue?

  • Huh?

  • The blue fridge, such an iconic factor of my videos, and yet

  • it's just a fridge with a blue side or blue face. It's not a blue fridge.

  • I intend to fix that.

  • I took the opportunity of just painting the fridge to also reverse that door.

  • Why? you ask.

  • Hold on a second.

  • At the desk, editing stuff...

  • That's why.

  • I think the making space is pretty much sorted out,

  • and so is the desk/editing space.

  • The only problem right now is that

  • I've got several iterations of everything here.

  • Two yellow pens, twelve black markers.

  • What I need is a place to store all the duplicates.

  • I'm gonna use an Ikea piece of furniture that I'm gonna hack

  • I can't help myself.

  • For the record, hacking Ikea furniture is probably one of my favorite activities, ever.

  • I also need a dedicated space for my video gear.

  • This tool storage on wheels is the storage I've been using to store all my video gear.

  • Lenses, audio stuff, battery, and SD cards, whatever.

  • I think it's a beautiful solution, but it's not a practical solution,

  • since I don't need to move that thing

  • like, all around the shop.

  • So instead I'm thinking about having a fixed solution.

  • A bit like this stuff, but. right there.

  • So, this outlet got hidden somewhere behind this freshly installed wood panel.

  • I'm trying to come up with an adjective for what I just did.

  • I'm hesitating between A. disgusting

  • and B. shameful.

  • I'm going to have to go for A + B.

  • Next.

  • OK, so I guess the only thing left is now to just put everything back in place

  • and to clean up the whole space.

  • All right guys, just between us,

  • the renovation is definitely done.

  • My modifications are over

  • All we need to do now is a studio reveal.

  • Excited?

  • Yes!

  • Well. no, don't be.

  • Three, two, one... Tscheuuuu!

  • Oh!

  • waaaay

  • I've got a whole cabinet all dedicated to video gear.

  • It's not sorted yet. OK?

  • But the spirit is already there.

  • GoPro stuff, audio stuff, the lenses, battery chargers, pouches.

  • And now about the desk situation.

  • I'm really liking the cleanliness.

  • I like the way this folds and unfolds

  • most of my supplies are now stored

  • within this under-desk cabinet.

  • This monitor will definitely go on the wall,

  • but overall, I'm going to call this success.

  • The blue fridge is now proud and BLUE.

  • Oh, la la la la la LA

  • What a beauty, this one.

  • You, stay right there.

  • The tool situation has improved a lot.

  • Look at all this space.

  • Look, everything is sorted out right now,

  • but I've got space to store, I've got space to organize,

  • and I've got space to display and get all these tools ready for action

  • Right. Let's end this congratulating process right now,

  • 'cause I'm facing challenges, obviously.

  • Where do I put this wet grinder?

  • Where do I put this thermal forming machine?

  • Where do I put my beloved dough sheeter?

  • and then, of course, I've got my sewing machine, right there.

  • And then I've also got my ramen machine

  • I need to sort this out.

  • If you have any ideas of good ways I could be improving this space,

  • please share them in the comment section down below.

  • It's always good to get the brain juices flowing.

  • Yes.

  • Completing this renovation is asking for celebration.

  • And what better to celebrate than a bowl of ramen?

  • in my freshly clean space.

  • Obviously, there are still things that needs to be perfected or even addressed.

  • So many of you have been asking for the come-back of the studio updates.

  • That's a thing. They are coming back.

  • Next week won't be a renovation video;

  • It's going to be a proper food video.

  • I hope you enjoyed this.

  • It's very important for me to keep you in the loop,

  • to keep you posted about what's happening to me,

  • and I think the studio is part of my story now.

  • So

  • Enjoy, take care, bye bye. Salut.
