The difference is between good and well are the same as the differences between an adjective and an advert.

Good is an objective.

It describes a thing.

Well, is an adverb.

It describes how we do something.

For example, he speaks good Japanese or he speaks Japanese Well.

It's also worth noting that better is the comparative form off both good and well.

So you have to be careful.

For example, he speaks better Japanese than I do, or he speaks Japanese better than I do as an adjective.

We can use good after a cop killer or linking verbs on those of herbs, which are commonly followed by adjectives, verbs like be, seem sound, look and feel.

For example, those clothes look really good on you, or it feels good to finally win an award.

We can also use good and well in different compound word combinations.

We might talk about someone who's very good natured.

Good describes then nature.

But we can also talk about someone who is well behaved well describes how they act.

For example, he's a very good natured, well behaved child.

Well, can actually be an adjective, but only in relation to someone's health and usually in connection with the question.

How are you, for example, how are you today?

I'm well, thank you.

Finally, we can combine them in the phrase all well and good, which means that a situation is satisfactory or acceptable.

For example, if you finish early, then all well and good, you can go home early, too.
