Hello. Hello, guys, welcome to The Greatest Dancer. Yeah, thank you.
How are you two? Are you good?
I'm doing good, thank you very much. Lovely to meet you. I'm Curtis.
I'm Jacqueline, thank you. Lovely to meet you. So what brings you here?
We want to show the world our dancing. Yeah.
I met Jacqueline about 13 years ago.
We got connected in a party.
She was a lovely woman and she wanted to dance with me.
Er, OK.
The same year we started dancing, we also got married, so...
AUDIENCE: Aww!
..it was the best year ever.
Aww!
A bit of a fairy tale going on here. Yeah.
CHEERING
How did you get him dancing, then?
It was a little bit difficult
because I work at the police force,
and it's a little bit crazy
to be a tough guy working at the police and be a dancing...guy.
So now they know me as the dancing policeman, so now it's OK.
I fell in love with you both right now and I'm speechless, honestly.
You've melted my heart. Thank you very much.
You both seem like a very strong couple. Thank you.
And we're fighters, so we want to be everything perfect
and that would make us such a good team.
When we dance, we can tell everybody that you can do
anything you want if you put your mind up to it.
APPLAUSE
I can dance, so what's more beautiful?
I'm ready. OK. You? Yeah.
Blow out the nerves. HE BLOWS
Just relax. Yeah.
I keep him calm. Yeah. If she stops being calm, then I'm lost - really.
# I'd have all I need... #
Go get 'em. Thank you. We're going to try.
# If you'd be the better half of me
# So will you be the better half of me?
# Will you be the better half of me? #
He looks dead happy, don't he? Yeah.
# Seems like it was yesterday
# When I saw your face
# You told me how proud you were
# But I walked away
# If only I knew
# What I know today... #
CHEERING
# Oo-oo-ooh, oo-oo-ooh
# I would hold you in my arms
# I would take the pain away
# Thank you for all you've done
# Forgive all your mistakes
# Ohh, I'm sorry... # CHEERING
# For blaming you
# For everything... #
I wasn't expecting this - that's for sure.
# I just couldn't do
# And I've hurt myself
# Oh, oh-oh... #
CHEERING # If I had just one more day
# I would tell you
# How much that I've missed you
# Since you've been away
# Ooh, it's dangerous
# It's so out of line
# To try and turn back time. #
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
Let's hear it for Alex and Jacqueline.
Dance captains. Matthew.
I felt like there was nothing you couldn't do.
I thought it was so passionate.
The connection that you two have with each other is what
we all fell in love with, and I was just so moved by that
performance, so thank you so much - that was such a gift.
You are the perfect example of not letting a disability
stand in the way of your ability...
..because that was a stunning performance.
It was like a modern-day Cinderella.
It was just so fluid, the way you were spinning her around the room.
It was so gorgeous.
She seemed so safe in your arms, which is so, so, so beautiful.
I'm so happy.
We haven't actually had anyone come out here
and actually do a ballroom piece.
But the fact that you can do a BEAUTIFUL foxtrot
and still have a lot of rise and fall - I mean, you did
a fallaway whisk and then you led that into a fallaway drop.
And then you did this incredible left!
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
Well done - I think you guys have just made this decision for me
for today really, really difficult.
CHEERING
One more time, Birmingham, let's hear it for Alex and Jacqueline.
Whoo!
They're so beautiful together. They were brilliant.
If Oti is going to choose us, we're going to be really proud.
Yeah. Yeah.
We are just a team, and we are really connected,
so we feel each other 100%.
