  • KIRAN KAJA: I am Kiran Kaja, and I am the accessibility lead

  • for Search and Assistant.

  • In this video, I'm going to demonstrate

  • how your Google Assistant and the ChromeVox screen

  • reader on the Chromebooks work together seamlessly.

  • ChromeVox is a screen reader that's available on Chromebooks

  • running the Chrome OS operating system.

  • There are two ways to get to your Assistant

  • on the Pixelbook.

  • It is the second key from the left

  • on the bottom row between the Control and Alt keys.

  • I'll press the Assistant key now.

  • SPEAKER 2: Type a message and a text window.

  • KIRAN KAJA: I can now type in my question,

  • and I want to ask about the weather tomorrow.

  • SPEAKER 2: W-E-A-T-H-E-R space T-O-M-O-R-R-O-W.

  • KIRAN KAJA: I can press Enter.

  • SPEAKER 3: Weather tomorrow deleted.

  • SPEAKER 2: Alert.

  • You may want sunglasses tomorrow in Mountain View.

  • It'll be sunny with a high of 64 and a low of 41 degrees

  • Fahrenheit.

  • Three dashes, more on weather.com.

  • KIRAN KAJA: As you have noticed there,

  • ChromeVox automatically read out Assistant [? interest ?] spots.

  • I can also use my voice to talk to my Assistant.

  • For instance, I can say, OK, Google.

  • [COMPUTER CHIMES] What's the time in London?

  • SPEAKER 2: The time in London, UK, is 10:45 PM.

  • KIRAN KAJA: Your Assistant can be a quick and easy way

  • to find information when you're working on your Chromebook.

  • And the integration with ChromeVox

  • helps you be more productive.
