Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Good Morning! If it is indeed morning where you are, it's currently morning here in KL (Kuala Lumpur) and it is raining. Yeah. Despite the beautiful sunshine, 'brightness' thing that's going on, it is raining quite heavily. So, we're kind of thinking "Hmm, vloggy-stuff what are going to do today?" And we're mainly just gonna edit, so that's dull. So instead, I thought I would sit down and I would make a video purely about the many, MANY handbags I have brought with me to KL Ok, I brought *5* handbags with me I've only showed you 3 of the ones I've brought with me, because two of them I dunno 'pfft' they're just not very exciting 'slash' they're ugly aaand then 3 that I bought since coming to KL. Yes! It's just a video about handbags. Essentially. But hey! They're so pretty I was never really a handbag person before I have to say, but Clara's kind of got me into them? I don't even know how. I don't know why. It's osmosis of best friendship. Is this a thing? It's a thing. Osmosis of friendship. It definitely happens, especially between girls. Please tell me this happens to you too?! Bad habits, Clara. Bad ones, thanks. Ok, let's begin! We're gonna start a handbag you've definitely seen before on my Instagram, Jessie and Claud on our videos, because I've had it a while and it's this one :) It's from Dune. I mean, it's not, it's from TKMaxx but Dune made it. I just, I'm not made of money, 'kay? I was really inspired to buy this bag by one of my favourite bloggers, ForeverAmber, who has a bag that also has that 'scalloped' shape, although I think hers is a satchel and it goes all the way up. Anyway, I saw this, sitting on a shelf and I though "Ah! I have to have it! Scallops! Scallop shell!" I just think it looks wonderfully playful. It's also quite a handy bag, to be honest, because it is so large. It fits in It fits in a vlogging camera and Joby stick and a bottle of water, which I must carry with me, at all times. A handy outside pocket, so you can slot things in it I've been in the Airport with this bag that was quite handy, because you can put your passport in the front of it and not have to open it up and dig inside and then inside, it's really cavernous, because it's quite solid, I like that. I like a solid bag. *knock knock* And inside, it has a zip pocket and regular two pockets, one which you can put your phone in, that my phone doesn't fit in it, because no ones made a bag that fits the 7plus yet. I can't even see, on smaller screens now I be up on Claud's phone and I'm like 'How do you read this?' 'How do touch the buttons?!' See essentially, that's that bag it's great, I can't remember how much it cost but I'm going to say, somewhere below...It's about £22 and it's got a lot of use, I've had it for about a year and a half so, excellent value for money, that one. Next up, I've already posted this little beauty on my Instagram and I know that a lot of you really, really liked it! I like it it's so gorgeous! This is from Vendula they also made my purse, 'cos I took this bag out last night! It's my purse! Yeah. So I got given this for Christmas by my lovely sister-in-law Julia, it's from Vendula. They have got *the* most gorgeous range of bags I love them- and they do special shop fronts. So they've got the Grocer, a Toy Store, a Pub, all these different things and you can get like a bag size, you can get little wallet size, there's a- They're just in the shape of shops, they're adorable! But I kinda want to expand my range of interesting bags so if you have any tips, or interesting bags, that aren't too "weird", so they won't look incredibly odd if you, like, eh vintage-style that's not to rockabilly, or pin-up. That was a long sentence. *breathe* If you have any tips on those, please do leave them in the comments. I'm very excited. And then, I got a bag I actually got this pre-release, I got it before it came out, so I can bring it with me into Malaysia. This is the grab-bag and this was around £75 mark? I'm going to say? I love it! I love this bag It's beautiful, we've got 3 little flowers here, which, if you're worried about having decorations on your bag and the potential of it falling off, I really feel very, very safe with this bag. Because, it is leather, it's stitched impeccably. And look it has a little ladybird! A So, I quite like walking around with it, just swingin' along. Um, but it's also small enough, that you can wear it with a strap and it doesn't look weird. This size, wearing it with a strap just always to me, looks a bit odd. I like the colour, because it's quite creamy, so it can go with a lot of different things. You can wear a signature colour from one of the flowers. Inside, there's a zip so that you can flap it over and undo the zip, which adds an extra, level of safety but isn't too much. Again, it's quite structured *knock knock* Love a structured bag, I just think you can get more into it and it's also easier. You want a box bag where you got to shove your hand in and search around for stuff, especially for me, because I can't feel my fingers. Fun fact, if you didn't know that about me, I can't feel my fingers. Or my arms, but well it's worse on my fingers. My arms is like Wondercream so, it just constantly feels like I am wearing a very thin layer of clothing, but with my actual fingers, I don't even know where they are. Most of the time. Squeezy squash, sweetener, um, wet wipes, got to travel with wet wipes, sunglasses, got medication, cards, money, all the good stuff Ooh! My business cards (/jessicaOutOfTheCloset - Instagram) (/JessicaKelgrenFozard - Youtube) There's a slightly bigger me! In terms of improving on this bag, there isn't much you can do. I like it so much. Um, although, right if we are the one downside, is I think there is some slight discolouration on the zip, which is my fault because we're in Malaysia and I've been eating a lot of curry. The next handbag, you most definitely recognise if you've been watching our travel vlogs Yes, dubbed in the comments, my "Mary Poppins" handbag, Kind of is. This little lovely is from 'Teddy Bake' (Ted Baker) It's again, *knock knock* a box bag. Now this one I took with me to Thailand and it was really really handy. Because, it's very very safe, let me show you You've got the clasp at the front, twist it, you have to undo, ooh gosh, first this one, then this one, then the top off, to get inside. So, I found when I was walking, through the market, through a lot of markets in Thailand, it did feel incredibly safe to be able to do that up and with 3 different straps, no ones gonna stand there for THAT long. The look of this bag is also delightful! I think it's wonderfully retro. Isn't it just? It also comes in a range of colours, but I really wanted it dusky pink. When it arrived and I remembered I had a dusky pink handbag, it's so old and battered, it's staying in Malaysia now. But this little lovely, is coming back with me to England, because I'm very much looking forward wearing it in the summer. I really, I think it's a lovely pink actually, I don't know if it shows well on camera, but pink to me, it can be too bubblegum, bright, it's just girly. I feel like I'm very- I'm ultra feminine. But not in a girly way. So open it up inside also I really like that it's got cracked finish to it. Inside we've got again the zip pocket, and then, two larger pockets which, to be fair, one of those does kinda fit my phone. Although my phone's a bit long. It's a very sleek and elegant design and I think it's very, it's very simple. Which you can match anything to. It goes with most things. My favourite thing about it though and I keep harping on this is the big security aspect! It also comes with a padlock Fine? I mean, they're very safety conscious, clearly at Teddy Bake, I don't know where they live., but they're very safety conscious. So that's an excellent feature and I really like that and you can fit a lot into this bag, no you can't fit a towel, clearly that was the movie magic! But, you can fit a lot in it I don't think I'm looking for a handbag, I'm kind of half way between it looking amazing and it being useful. No that's a LIE! What a lie! Ha! No I just look for it to look good. It is slightly on the pricier side and by slightly, I mean it is definitely more expensive than all of my other handbags- but it's very good quality. I've thrown this bag around, a little bit, I mean not intentionally. But, you know, travelling. And it's held up, incredibly well. This is the kind of handbag also because it's quite a classic style and look, that I really feel like I'd be able to keep this for years and years and years and carry it always. I don't think I'll wear it with the strap, when I'm back at home, I think I'll just carry it around, but I like that it has that option, that's been very useful. It's also especially useful when you are on crutches. Fun fact! When you are on crutches, you need a bag with a very long handle, because you need to put it across and over your body otherwise it will flap about and smack you, as you move. This bag, I probably should've brought out after the Vendula bag because It's amazing! As I said, I'm starting a thing, I've decided I like bags that look like something. This one is from LuLu Hun, which is the accessories part of collective, and as you know, I am obsessed with all things collective. Look at it, isn't it adorable? I was going to wear it to a wedding, but then I couldn't go to that wedding, because I was ill and we had to go to Malaysia It's been really useful out here as well, again it has it has a chain. So you don't have to just carry it around. This will definitely be appearing in my Holiday Look Book, which will be at the end of the holiday. It's hard-wearing, it's very solid fits a surprising amount, including my massive phone. And the vintage look of this beauty, and also it goes with a lot of things. Because, again we have this dusky pink. So it goes with many things. We've got a beautiful, beautiful clip at the top here, I got this one, it was on sale, so I'm not sure if they still have it, but they do have a delicious range, of bags, so make sure to check them out. I really, really, I can't rate this high enough. It just brings me pure joy and happiness! And now we can all agree I've wattled on for ages, about handbags and you'd like me to just wrap this up. Quick run down at the bags that I have bought since coming to KL *gasp* This little stunner! I mean, it's so simple in design and yet I like it so much Not in quite the same way, this one's gold it's very shiny, it came in a variety of colours, it's from Pedini(?) It was £8 english pounds? And it has this beautiful little pearl clasp, which I have to say, it has actually been damaged. *laughs* I've only had it about a week, but it has scuffed quite badly. It's very compact inside, which is excellent, I managed to fit quite a few things in here the other day, I was very surprised. Next is a little heavier, I have to say, actually I should mention that some of these bags are quite heavy on their own without things in, except for the garden bag which is a grab bag, so it's small. When Claude and I first met, I had a riding bag as a handbag, so it was like a semi-circular, it was weird, I couldn't put it down. It was like a semi-circular leather bag that I got from Hawkshead Lake District and it was half- it was brown and dark green. And she was this one and was like "Oh it's like the handbag you used to have!" so I had to get it. Oh God, I'm such a soft sap, I know. There is a girl in the, a department store, next door, who puts names on handbags so I've been thinking of taking off the name of the actual brand and replacing it with my monogram, because I'm like that Who wouldn't want that? And finally the most exciting purchases It's so beautiful! I love it! I again got this from Tang's at a department store, it was in a Chinese New Year special, so of course it's you know, red and gold and flowery, oh goodness! I'm slightly concerned that everything will knock off and I need to be super careful with it, but also quite expensive for Malaysia, it was about- So it ended up being about 250 ringgit. It's got a lovely clasp on the top, the same way that LuLu handbag does. I mean to be fair, it's so beautiful, I'll put it on a shelf than worry about taking it anywhere, which probably isn't what you want from a bag So I hope liked my little array of handbags, some of which are useful, some of which are just beautiful! All of which I really really like :) If you'd like to see more handbags, why not follow me on Instagram, where I post outfits and handbags and jeweller and just generally nice things.
