  • Now it does not matter which school or educational establishment you have your teaching assistant interview with.

  • I promise you the tips, the guidance and, more importantly, the interview questions and answers I will provide you with during this tutorial will make a huge difference to your preparation.

  • I've been helping people to prepare and pass their interviews for many years now.

  • In fact, it's almost 20 years on.

  • I always focus on giving you top scoring answers.

  • Okay, now what we need to dio during your answers to the teaching assistant interviews to make sure you demonstrate the following skills and qualities these air really important.

  • You have to demonstrate you are entirely focused on supporting the teacher in delivering outstanding lessons and teaching.

  • You also must be capable of creating a managing lesson plans.

  • And I go into more detail about that as we progress through this tutorial also ensuring and this is important all aspects of the class on the lesson plans are safe, clean and secure.

  • Also responding quickly and efficiently toe all request that are made by the teacher that you are assisting on.

  • Also understanding and working towards the educational curriculum on the educational establishments.

  • AWB objectives.

  • So don't worry about those five specific specific things, because I'm gonna actually encompass them into the answers that I'm going to give you in preparation for your interview.

  • So let's get straight into those teaching assistant interview questions and answers.

  • Now the first question tell me about yourself on the skills and qualities you possess that will make you a good teaching assistant.

  • So let's take a look at my suggested answer.

  • The purpose here because this will most probably be the first question during your interview to tell me about yourself.

  • Question.

  • We need to make sure it is exceptionally strong.

  • Okay, and there's a way to do that is my suggested answer.

  • I am a professional, studious and supportive employee who always works hard to achieve the daily tasks and duties that are put in front of me.

  • I'm very passionate about education and have been working towards becoming a teaching assistant for a number of years now.

  • Now, in order to prepare for this role, I have studied hard and assess the person's specification in detail to make sure I have the skills and attributes needed to meet the minimum standards necessary.

  • I believe I would make a great teaching assistant because I am patient.

  • I would be fully supportive of the teacher or teachers I'm assisting.

  • I am a strong planner on organizer, a dedicated worker, and I would always put the education of the pupils and students I'm involved with at the heart of everything I do.

  • I feel confident that if you employ me as your teaching assistant, you'll be impressed with my caring and enthusiastic nature and also my strong work ethics and values.

  • Now that is a very strong answer to that question, and it gets you off on the right footing and anybody can use that, obviously providing you believe in those skills, qualities and attributes.

  • But I recommend you study that and use it during your you're teaching assistant interview.

  • Now, of course, you can even take a note of these.

  • So why do you want to become a teaching assistant?

  • You know what motivates you, Toby?

  • A teaching assistant Now, obviously it needs to be centered on education.

  • You know your passion for this role on for making a difference on dhe to the pupils lives that you're working alongside.

  • So let's take a look at another strong answer to this question.

  • I want to become a teaching assistant for three specific reasons.

  • Firstly, I want to work in the top of role.

  • Where I get to make a positive difference to people's daily lives.

  • Now is a teaching assistant.

  • I will get to see the impact of my work through supporting the teacher in their aim whilst providing exceptional education on development.

  • Now.

  • Secondly, I do not want to work in the top of role where I'm sat behind a desk performing monotonous duties.

  • Now, whilst the Dupri shape, there will be repetitive duties to carry out the teaching assistant.

  • I like the fact I will get to be creative in helping the teacher developed and deliver interesting on dhe informative lesson plans.

  • Finally, I prefer to work in the type of environment where I get the opportunity to personally grow, improve and develop whilst learning from other people on the teaching assistant position takes a lot of boxes for May, and it is something I plan to do for a long period of time if I am successful.

  • So that's another concise, logical and strong response that's, you know, loaded with lots of positive keywords and statements, and I always teach people that when answering interview questions is to use positive words and phrases because they will resonate positively with the interview panel.

  • Now what do you think your duties will include?

  • Is a teaching assistant on this particular question?

  • Assesses your knowledge of the role.

  • For example, have you read the job description?

  • Have you read the person specification?

  • So I've already done that for you on here is my sample answer.

  • The key duties and responsibilities of a teaching assistant are many and varied, and as such you need a flexible and adaptable approach to your work.

  • I would be required to assist the teacher in the preparation of lessons, lesson plans and also making sure the relevant teaching aids and resource is were ready and available when required.

  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and details of their progress would be another important aspect of the role I would need to ensure the classroom was safe, clean and fit the use prior to the pupils entering the room.

  • I would be required to support the lead teacher in respect of the learning schedule on also support them in meeting the requirements of the educational curriculum for that particular term, I would also be required to support the teacher in providing appropriate remedial training, the students or people who require additional help and also inform the teacher if I see any issues that give me cause for concern.

  • Finally, I would need to uphold and maintain the strong standards on the rules and procedures laid down by the school on Always follow the relevant code of conduct and guidance.

  • What's supporting the teacher in his or her duties Now that response demonstrates that you've looked into detail about what the role of a teaching assistant in bowls on dure fully prepared for what will, what will happen and in particular your duties.

  • Why'd you want to work for our school as a teaching assistant.

  • Now I understand there will be two types of school that you will apply for us.

  • A teaching assistant one.

  • There is a strong performing school or educational establishment on one that requires improvement.

  • So what I plan to do is to give you to sample responses for those people who, firstly, are applying to be a teaching assistant, a school that's performing well and secondly, one that's not performing so well on it has challenges ahead.

  • So let's take a look at the first answer, which is a strong performing school for the simple reason you have an outstanding reputation for delivering strong educational results.

  • I want to learn from the best and be in an environment where the school constantly strives to improve.

  • If I'm in this type of environment where the school puts the education and welfare of its pupils at the heart of everything they do, I will become a brilliant teaching assistant.

  • Working for your skill will mean I am continually progressing in the role, and I will always get great job satisfaction from being in a teaching assistant who is making a positive difference to People's Daily lives on dhe, their futures.

  • So that's a response that's relevant to a school that is strong performing.

  • Let's now take a look at one that requires improvement.

  • Here we go.

  • I would like to work in a school where I could make a positive difference through my work supporting the teacher in the creation on delivery of lesson plans.

  • I prefer to work in a challenging environment where I get the opportunity to put forward innovative and creative ideas to help the pupils and students get the most from their lessons.

  • I understand that the education sector is under immense pressure right now, and it's really important, um, for teachers to get the support any.

  • But it's also top for teachers to fulfill all of their teaching obligations, whilst also having so many other factors to consider was teaching and performing their day to day activities.

  • I feel as a teaching assistant at your school, I'll be able to make a positive contribution to the teachers daily, work through my enthusiastic and positive attitude towards everything I do whilst at work.

  • So that is demonstrating that you understand that the school's got challenges.

  • You're not referring to them directly and I don't run.

  • I recommend you do.

  • But you were explaining that you understand that the education sector is under immense pressure and you are essentially there to help out and support them to improve.

  • But again, you're using positive keywords and phrases which I think is really, really important.

  • What steps would you take to support the teacher in the creation and delivery of their lesson plans?

  • So you need a bit of understanding about Listen, Plans is so he is my suggested answer.

  • First and foremost, I would listen to the teacher on Tame a full brief or what they needed from me lost in the role of teaching assistant.

  • I would then create a plan of action based on what I needed to do each day to support the teacher based on their needs.

  • From my own perspective, I would offer creative suggestions for how the lesson plans might be created, whilst also offering to put together any visual presentations to assist them in the delivery of each lesson plan.

  • I could also offer to source any relevant resource is the teacher might need to enhance their lesson and help get across the relevant teaching points now during the lesson itself, I would watch and take note of any pupils who may require assistance in their learning and development on in particular, how I could assist them in understanding the lesson or the learning point.

  • Above all, I would ensure the work that I carried out was in line with the current curriculum on the educational program for that particular terms.

  • That's another strong answer, and it shows that you really have thought about how you would support the teacher in the creation and delivery off their lesson plan.
