And what I have for you today is a lock with a literal open switch on it.

What you see here is a path.

Let brand fingerprint padlock though it is marketed under a number of different names.

Now, I've evaluated a few different fingerprint padlocks in the past, and I also have a few more lined up for the coming weeks.

But I have a really hard time believing that we will get into any of Tha MME.

As fast as we're going to open this one today, I'm going to show you two different exploits.

The first requires a specialized tool that is a padlock shim and the second convey, accomplished with anything like a pocket knife or a screwdriver.

We're going to be using my pocket knife.

So let's shim this open first.

You can use a commercial shim like this where you can make one out of something like a soda.

Can we simply slide this down the right side of the shackle on it?

Cops.

Right.

Open.

It doesn't get much faster than that.

The next exploit requires something like this.

Either a pocket knife or a screwdriver works and we need that to pry up this piece of plastic.

I've already done that and broken the glue.

And unfortunately, I did leave a small bit of damage right there.

So it's not necessarily something you can do without leaving a trace.

However, once you pop that off, you have access to a small switch right here which, if you push it to the left, the lock pops right open.

So clearly, this is a padlock that can be quickly defeated without much in the way of specialized tools.

Ah, pocket knife will definitely do the trick.
