  • so 20 a t t eyes are still a unicorn.

  • Not gonna be found in the wild, not to be found on shelves.

  • But that's not going to stop us from reviewing them.

  • Today we're taking a look at the E V g A monster.

  • Their flagship.

  • This currently.

  • Anyway, the for the win three, this is there, fully built from the ground up.

  • Custom, PCB, custom, power delivery, higher power limit and hopefully squeezing as much power out of that touring core as we could possibly hope.

  • Hope?

  • Hope for it was me that it was my brain.

  • My brain on eggs.

  • We're on boxing.

  • We're gonna hook it up, see what it's all about.

  • Over clock their shit out of it.

  • We're going to see exactly what touring is capable.

  • Okay, so I've got my founder's card right here for scale.

  • No bananas currently available in the studio.

  • We're on boxing this together.

  • I have not seen this in person.

  • Even so, this obviously is going to be a much larger card.

  • Triple slot triple fan, triple tall gyp along all the triples you couldn't tell.

  • And there it is compared to the founders.

  • Look at that.

  • You know this is like you versus the guy not to worry about.

  • But what's interesting, though, is it's 28 pin connectors, whereas the homicide card we took a look at first waas to a pen connectors plus a six pin, and we have to do obviously all the obligatory peeling of the plastic.

  • You ready brushed aluminum right here, nice and pretty.

  • Obviously, this is going to be backlit.

  • You can see that it's white for, Ah, some translucent lighting effects there we have auxiliary fan on the back, so as a fan header back there, and it looks like we also have an RGB header back, there's that solve some problems if you're looking to add RGB tier system and you don't have any RGB headers like we recently dealt with on the Skunk Works bill.

  • But that's not we're talking about today's Why'd I guess so is a dual bios card to have a normal and an O.

  • C.

  • I'm going to be doing all of my testing today, though on the O.

  • C.

  • Mode.

  • I don't feel like anybody should buy this card and not running over clocked.

  • I mean, why why would you buy this and not over clock.

  • It's so that's exactly what we'll be doing today.

  • So obviously we need to get into our test bench and see what it can do.

  • Okay, so a whole day of testing a solid day in all of our usual testing titles that we use in four K 10 80 p and 14 40 has a weird way to name them.

  • But whatever.

  • I digress.

  • So okay, let's talk about some anomalies guys probably saw in those charts the same anomalies we saw when testing the XY Ultra the another for the wind.

  • But the founders card, we also sought with E.

  • M s I card with strict scarred the the 10 any P and the 28 e t.

  • I just such a weird match.

  • I mean, yes, there are titles that you can get away with it and it actually benefits you like C s go or other EA sports type of titles where super high refresh rates can affect Leighton see, which can give you an edge.

  • But that's just really not mainstream.

  • That's not what you're really going to see in most titles.

  • In fact, we saw a reduction in score uh, and this card specifically when we over clocked it we actually saw was that far cry five.

  • It went down, actually went down a few f p s as we over clocked it.

  • And that's obviously because of a CPU bottleneck.

  • And you know, we're running an 8700 k.

  • With all cores locked at 4.7 gigahertz, It still is enough to limit our max F p s with this graphics card.

  • So obviously, 28 e t eyes in any trim are meant for higher resolutions like 14.

  • 44 k.

  • In fact weekend, you could even get a T f P s and Chip away titles like Far Cry five, I think was like a T f p s or thereabouts over 60 f.

  • P s in four came just about every title with a single card that that day is here.

  • We've had heaven here launching our randomly cycling over and over and over.

  • We're in 14 40 p right now, with all settings cranked, and we're seeing a max temperature of 63 in games.

  • Though however, we actually saw lower temperatures.

  • Games are not necessarily loading up the GP constantly at 100% like a synthetic benchmark like this does.

  • Obviously, in an open air test bench, the only thing limiting our cooling is the cooler itself.

  • Putting into a case can affect those temperatures.

  • I say this in every single review every single time.

  • Someone wants to say that this isn't a real world scenario, but I also will say my result and my response is always the same.

  • There's no single case I can use that's going to accurately represent what the average consumer is going to get, so your performance will vary now.

  • Obviously, this card features I see X technology.

  • What This is what really sets a VJ part, in my opinion, is the fact that you can monitor temperatures on various sections of the cards.

  • We click the icy X button.

  • We can monitor temperatures all over the place.

  • We've got power 51 c 58 52.

  • We can see our memory.

  • We could see the top chips get hotter.

  • 77 See on that versus 69 down here and 45 up front so you can see kind of the varying temperature hot spots on the card.

  • But this as you can also see gives you real time power monitoring.

  • So we're pulling anywhere between 300 watts to 345 watts.

  • Because remember, this is a custom card with custom power delivery meaning were able to pull more than the founders Card can, obviously.

  • So even though this says 100 the slider will move as far as 124 that's 124% or 24% additional power on top of the already raised baseline power limits.

  • We took the baseline and we moved it up.

  • And then we added more on top of that, which is what custom cars are all about.

  • But you can see power limit for the first time in any card I've tested so far is not what's initially limiting it out of the box were still sitting lucked at 1950 megahertz over clocking on this card.

  • If you don't over clock it, there's no point in buying this card.

  • You would just be leaving money on the table and performance that you've paid for.

  • So let's just do something simple here.

  • Let's over clock the memory.

  • Let's just do 1000 megahertz over clock on the memory, which is pretty massive.

  • Actually, he only went up about 15 watts when we did that, we can move our voltage slider all the way up, usually not something that's gonna affect anything.

  • It's more of a placebo slider, but it makes us feel good, so we do it anyway.

  • But our 19 fifties, you can see we're still locked there.

  • So I'm gonna go ahead and move that up.

  • Let's just go plus 100.

  • That's pretty basic.

  • And you could see we moved up to 2040 immediately, even though I added 100 only one up.

  • 90 build our temperatures, though still the stock fan curve.

  • I have not touched the fan curb.

  • It is still set to auto, and typically, I would recommend when you're doing over clocking on a graphics card, especially its air cool, Just crank the fans.

  • It's one those things.

  • You're gonna have a trade off of noise to performance ratio.

  • You have to determine what you're willing to put up with, but the fans speed on.

  • This is super quiet, very non intrusive, and the fact that we're still keeping our temperatures in the low sixties at over 2000 megahertz is pretty impressive up there's our 2100 depending on how intensive the scene is and how much over clocking headroom there is in terms of power, limit and temperature, that core will go up.

  • But what we saw in most of our testing was we hovered right around the 2100 megahertz range, which is why this card went farther.

  • Then obviously the XY ultra higher power limit, better temperature control and obviously more power delivery with the custom PCB and this card is built for it.

  • And what I found is this card will max out at about 2180 on stability and then it drops down from there.

  • So this is a card that might even be fun to hook up.

  • Our our chiller are ice bucket to to see if we can get it to sit over 2200 Now the for the win and XY ultra both have these trim kits available.

  • If you register your card with DVD A, then you can actually get a trim kit for free while supplies last this one's a red kit colors this one, this one might be black.

  • I'm not sure or white whatever.

  • So it replaces the trim that's underneath that cover here to just give you a little bit of an accent piece.

  • So instead of having it ship with a particular color, you can register and get one.

  • It's also got this metal faceplate that you can buy that goes on the face of the card, right, Like this.

  • And, uh, when people put pictures of this up online or TV, jaded people were not too impressed with the looks of it.

  • And I've got to say that I tend to agree.

  • I'm a little disappointed in the sense that this, for the Win three card so far, is the highest clocking highest performing card that I have in here.

  • And I have districts here.

  • I have the m s.

  • I trio here, and so far that's it for the custom cards.

  • But it is.

  • The temperatures are amazing on it, and the performance just it's a little bit subdued by its aesthetics.

  • Now, this is perfectly subjective here, completely subjected.

  • This is my opinion, but I feel like the design team was may be hard pressed to come up with a new design because of a new family of graphics cards.

  • I'm not a fan of the tinted trout.

  • I don't like that you can see through it.

  • I feel like dust is going to accumulate underneath it and start to become visible.

  • And I feel like if they had gone with, just like a matte black shroud with the amazingly sleek looking brushed aluminum accents on here, I feel like it's completely non complemented by that tinted see through shroud.

  • So I almost feel like I want to do a mod to it where I sort of do a flat black paint on it, just to see if I'm right, because you can see the L ladies through it.

  • With all the vertical mount cases these days that's gonna be visible.

  • Neither Phil or I like the fact that you can see through there and see the L.

  • E.

  • D's share.

  • Most of the time.

  • It's oriented Horizontal.

  • No, you're gonna see is the lighting on the edge.

  • But again, with so many cases now being vertical Mount Jeep, you that's something that you could potentially see.

  • But anyway, that's just my opinion on that.

  • So, guys, tell me what you thought of the 28 e.

  • T.

  • I for the Win three.

  • A custom car that's actually been available on the market.

  • E V G.

  • A is constantly tweeting out when stock goes up.

  • And although the card is very pricey at 1349 U.

  • S.

  • Dollars, it still sells out within minutes of when they announce that they're online.

  • So although many people are complaining that this series is far too expensive, they still continue to sell out every single time there in stock.

  • So that's pretty much that.

  • Let me know what you guys thought of this car down in the comments below will be taking a look at more custom cards as they become available.

  • And, as always, guys, thanks for watching.

  • And we will see you in the next features in video.

  • Gee, first experience by the card now in video.

  • Ansel Ha!

  • They know my cousin even J for the win 31 Open it and do stuff with it today.

  • The DEA just incompatible Denny's.

  • He was over here.

  • Denny's over there.

  • Ha ha!

so 20 a t t eyes are still a unicorn.
