To succeed as a team,

it's important for players

to know their respective roles.

Games are won through

collaborative participation,

where team members

contribute their strongest talents.

The DSMES team is no different.

It must consist of

a diverse group of experts,

with each member sharing

specific skills and insight.

The DSMES team of experts

must have at least one of the following:

•Registered nurse,

•Registered dietitian nutritionist,

•Pharmacist,

•Certified Diabetes Educator, or

•Health care professional

board certified in

Advanced Diabetes Management.

Team members must participate in

continuing education to stay abreast

of their respective fields.

You must also have

a plan in place to access

any expertise that is not represented

on the current DSMES team.

Helping people with diabetes

is a team sport,

and a strong team with a clear goal

is the key to success.
