OSAKA
Hey everyone.
It is the end of the year,
and that means we will be traveling a lot more,
and sharing our experiences with you guys.
And our first destination is Osaka.
Yay!
So, let's go.
[Music]
KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
[Music]
So we have arrived in the Kansai International Airport in Osaka,
and we've just collected quite a few stuff.
Here, we have a Wi-Fi router.
Osaka Amazing Pass, and Icoca card,
which will help us to get around Osaka,
and finally, a JR pass,
which will get us to Kyoto,
which is exactly where we are going now.
Big shout out to Klook for hooking us up,
and we are headed to Kyoto now.
[Music]
KYOTO
[Music]
All right, so it's our first official day in Kyoto,
and we are headed to make some bentos.
It's so early.
Let's go.
Hi guys, so now we are at Cooking Sun,
and today, we're going to learn
how to make bento, and we are all dressed in this outfit.
This is a traditional monk outfit called "Sumae",
and they actually wear this to do like,
their daily chores like cleaning and cooking.
So, I can't wait to start making a bento.
I'm hungry.
Are you hungry?
Are you going to make me some?
Let's go.
[Music]
So Ridhwan is a nicest one,
and I have to say, mine is arguably
the ugliest looking one out of the whole room.
So after three hours of learning,
we finally get to eat.
I'm so hungry.
So we have arrived in Yumeyakata, and today,
we are going to rent some kimonos.
So the ladies are choosing their kimonos now.
There are over 500 kimonos collections here.
So that's a lot to choose from.
So I'm gonna look exactly like this.
So I hope you have the sword ready for me.
[Music]
So we are all now dressed in our kimonos.
The whole process took about like half an hour to 45 minutes,
but it's so so interesting.
You get to pick like the different pattern,
and you get to choose your hairstyle,
and all of this is for like $56,
so it's so so worthy
and it's such a great experience.
Kinono.
KYOTO STATION
So we're traveling from Kyoto to Nara now.
So now, we are on board the rapid train to Nara,
and do you know
that the rapid train actually goes much faster,
and reaches Nara 25 minutes faster than the local train?
So if you're going to Nara Park, do remember to take this train
as you will reach there much faster.
I'm having my bento box
that I bought from the train station.
In Japan, it is very common for them to buy bento boxes,
and have it on the train.
Ridhwan is trying to open his bento box,
and look at how he open it.
How do you open it?
He peeled off the side of the box.
What?
Eat the rice like a cereal box.
[Music]
So we have finally arrived at Nara Park,
and down here,
there are a lot of deers just free roaming around.
To be exact,
there are actually more than 1,200 deers.
You know we have some time,
so we're gonna do what people do with deers,
play with them and stuff.
So right here,
what you see, the coffee bean looking thing,
this is actually deer poop.
If you're coming here, I would suggest
that you bring proper footwear,
and don't bring your best shoe,
because I definitely did not bring the right footwear.
So their--
I just slap the deer.
I'm sorry.
So their butts vibrate whenever you touch them.
I don't--
I don't really know why but...
I don't know what's the reason for that.
So I definitely recommend you guys to come to Nara Park
if you're into taking really nice photos,
because it's incredible.
The trees here are so beautiful,
and the leaves, they're like in yellow,
they're in red.
It's just really beautiful, and you know what?
Play the slow-mo montage.
Every travel YouTuber does it.
NARA PARK
[Music]
Are we done?
I'm tired of spinning.
OSAKA
So it's finally time for dinner.
We are at Isomaru Suisan in the middle of Shinsaibashi.
This is a seafood restaurant
with an authentic Japanese dining experience,
and it's open 24/7.
And since we haven't eaten the whole day,
we're so hungry.
We're gonna go in now.
So, let's go.
So we have a whole table reserved for us
because we booked this on Klook.
Check it out.
[Music]
So one of the things you definitely need to do
in Osaka is visit Universal Studios in Japan,
and there are many theme zones
based on Hollywood Blockbusters such as Spider-Man, Terminator,
and Jurassic Park.
So let's go check it out.
So the waiting time on the rides in USJ can go up to two hours.
So we got Express tickets, and there are actually 7 types
on different express tickets that you can choose from,
and you can choose the one that suits you best.
So we got our tickets book on Klook, because they
are an authorized agent, and we get to keep the queue,
and no paper needed.
So let's go!
[Music]
So we are going to try to The Flying Dinosaur,
and this is apparently the scariest ride
at Universal Studios, Japan.
Let's go.
I love dinosaurs.
Me and dinosaurs, we're okay.
That was actually really fun.
It wasn't that bad.
I thought it was gonna be really scary,
but it turned out to be pretty okay,
and it was like...
It was a really nice view of the whole park.
Yeah.
This was the...
Definitely one of my favorite roller coaster ride ever
in our life, right?
Yeah, you guys have to queue up for this.
This is so good.
I love dinosaurs.
I cannot move my head
because the machine [inaudible] my hair.
Minions.
Now, we are at the latest addition to Universal Studio Japan,
which is the Minion Park.
And this is actually the world's biggest Minion Park.
So over here, you can find eateries, play lands,
and even photo opportunities with the minions,
and we just to take a 4D ride,
which was so cool and so cute.
I never took a ride like this in my life,
and I recommend you guys to try it.
So let's move on to the next ride.
[Music]
Oh yeah. It's great.
All my life,
I always wanted to light up a Christmas tree.
My dream.
10 million subscribers.
Is that how it works?
[Music]
Hermoine, oh, I miss you.
Where are you?
Okay, a butter beer will do.
Thank you Harry.
[Music]
So that's it.
We spent the whole day at Universal Studios Japan,
and we are so exhausted.
But it was incredible.
Did you enjoy it?
It was super fun.
So now, we're going to head back to our hotel,
and see you tomorrow.
Bye!
[Music]
So after a long day yesterday at Universal Studios,
where we did a lot of walking,
we're headed for a more chill day today.
And today, we are visiting the Osaka Sea Aquarium.
This is one of the biggest aquariums in the world
with 27 large tank.
There are seals, there are big fish, small fish,
and of course,
we booked our tickets online through Klook.
So you should definitely book it through Klook
and skip long queues.
Now, we're gonna head in there.
Let's go.
[Music]
Personal space.
[Music]
So this is an interactive tank,
where you can actually get up close and personal
with the fish, and touch them.
This is really cool.
Like I never knew the sharks get was so rough,
but the belly is really soft.
They're very slimy.
My hand--
So when you're in Osaka,
you definitely have to check out Shinsaibashi,
which is the main shopping area of the city.
You have international stores like LV, Chanel, Fendi,
and Tiffany & Co, all that kind of stuff,
and you also have your local stores,
which can be pretty fun to shop at.
You can also find lots of Japanese exclusive product.
So the great thing about shopping in Japan is
that if you're a foreigner,
you can get that 8 percent tax refund.
And unlike other countries, where there's a special counter
at the airport where you have to give your receipts,
the tax exemption
actually happens at the place of purchase.
So don't forget to bring your passport.
Guess what?
The Lush here is much chear than Singapore.
It's crazy.
This Intergalactic bath bomb,
it's $18 in Singapore, but after converting,
it's only $9.50 here in Japan.
So if you love bath bombs, please buy in Japan.
So much more worth it.
It's crazy.
We all bought stuff.
So now we are in Dotonbori,
and here is the street in Osaka with many many big sign boards
and bright lights.
And this one of the very very famous sign board,
the Glico Running Man,
and in this street,
you get the find like seafood and lots of shopping,
and good snacks on streets.
So even though we had dinner,
we can't get enough of street food
and Japanese food.
So let's go hunting for more food.
[Music]
Finally, dinner time,
and today, we are at Guenpin Fugu Restaurant,
and we are going to have some puffer fish.
And as you know,
Puffer Fish can be a dangerous fish to eat.
So all this Chef has special skills
that are learned over 10 years just to learn
how to cut the fish
so that we won't get poisoned.
[Music]
Let me share some facts about the fugu with you.
In the liver, the ovaries,
and the intestines of the fugu contains
this poison called tetrodotoxin,
which is 1,200 times deadlier than Cyanide,
and the toxin is so little they all you need is
a size of a pinhead,
like a small needle, like one dot to actually kill you.
Let's have dinner.
Let's just go.
Eat the--
Let's go eat the fish cum.
[Music]
Ridhwan just left because he's paranoid
that he's poisoned.
[Music]
Very chewy.
It's like a mixture of sea bream and...
Sword fish.
No, clam fish.
Some sort of clam fish.
I don't know.
So it's our last day in Osaka,
and we're here at the Pokémon Center,
which is right at the train station right
before we take a train
to the Kansai Airport back to Singapore.
And this place has everything Pokémon,
from stuffed toys to card games to everything Pokemon.
So, if you love Pokemon, you will have a good time here.
And as you can see,
our good friend Ridhwan is just shopping,
getting a gift for his girlfriend.
Look at that.
Just look at that.
I bought this for the plane ride.
So after shopping,
this is the bag that they gave to us.
Look at it.
It's so nice.
They had the first generation 151 Pokemon.
Finally reached the end of the vlog,
and we just want to say a big thank you to Klook
for sending us here,
and trying out all these new experiences.
The trip felt really short because, I don't know.
I really love Osaka,
and I think that I enjoyed Osaka way more
than I expected it.
Did you like Osaka?
Yes, I love it.
I survived a puffer fish eating.
So what was your favorite part?
I love you USJ.
USJ was great.
Yeah, USJ was great.
And by the way,
as we head towards the end of the year,
if you're traveling this holiday,
Klook is actually having their end year sale
where you can get $70 off on your holiday.
So click on the links
in the description to find out more.
Next up, we have Dubai.
But before that,
we will be sending this guy to Lombok right now.
Yeah, I'm excited.
Oh, yeah, by the way, Agnes lost her passport.
So yeah, she's...
We might not make it back to Singapore.
Just leave her here.
