Technically born in Hialeah, and raised in Westchester and I'm not talkin' about New York. Today's challenge is that I need to figure out who's the true Miamian in the group. I've curated a pretty badass list of questions so I'm here, I'm hosting a little Miami pachanga you know to get to know everybody and see who's really, really really, like literally from Miami. All right let's get the party started. Have everybody come in so I can meet them. (air whooshes) Welcome to the pachanga. - Hi. - Can't wait to find out who the imposters are and who the one three oh five 'til I die is. I'm gonna start with you Mr. Bartender. (air whooshes) - How's it goin', my name is Matt. - I'm gonna ask you some questions right off the bat. - What's up? - D.C. has panda statues. West Hollywood has the electric guitar statues. What public art statue series is found scattered around Little Havana? Number one Cafecito cups, number two roosters, number three flamingos, or number four dominoes? - Number two roosters, of course. Little Havana. (rooster crows) - You got it right Sir Matt. (bell chimes) Number two. What was the nickname Hispanic Miamians gave to the the Farm Store chain of drive-thru markets and why? It's notorious. - You call 'em, yeah... - Even the white people in Miami know this. - Right, of course, which is me. (Jenny laughs) The Flo Ridas which is of course a reference to the musical artist. Next question? - Super wrong (buzzer sounds) Who is-- - Flo Rida? - No. Who is "the Pimp with the Limp"? - We're talking about the colonel himself, Colonel Sanders from KFC. He's the pimp with the limp. - So far you've only gotten one right. Just one right. - Roosters baby! (roosters crow) - It was lovely meeting you. - Cock a doodle do to you. (Jenny coos) And I will see you, um, later. - Goodbye. (air whooshes) Hello my dear. Aye! Super cute! Okay so you ready to answer some questions? - Yes! - Here we go. Car accident? Remember, after 9-1-1 call... - 4-1-1. - One more word. - 4-1 it's been a while since I've been in a car accident. - What happens when you're in a car accident? - You get hit. - And what happens when you get hit? - You die? (Jenny laughs) - You are close so I'm gonna give you a half point. - Okay. - Cool, cool, cool. Everybody knows the Miami area code is 3-0-5. - Of course - We all have to thank Pitt Bull for that. But every Miamian also knows the Broward area code. What is it? - Like I'm a little bit bougie, I'm more South Beach. - Okay, as you know, Miami is heavily Cuban. - Very, makes sense Cuba's like right there so... - Well good think you mention that because the question is, how many miles to Cuba is it from Key West? - Like if my arm span is like this... Like 400 miles? - Not quite. I'll ask one more. Name at least three Miami Dade College campuses. - I haven't lived in Florida since I was like 16, so... - Okay so where were you raised. - I was right in Miami. Like I went to Southwestern High School and I was an athlete. I wasn't home a lot 'cause I was competing. - Okay cool! Well thank you for answering my questions. - No problem! (air whooshes) - Hey, how are you? - Doing good, how are you? Kanou. - Good Kanou nice to meet you. - Jenny right? - Yes Jenny. So I'm gonna find out if you actually spent some time in what I call Cuba the sequel. There's this really popular fast food chain. It's called Pollo Tropical (bell dings) and everyone knows the jingle. So can you sing me the jingle? (Kanou laughs) - You want me to sing the jingle? - I want you to sing the Pollo Tropical jingle. - Like a little like a... (Kanou scats) I'll give you that instrumentation, that's cool. Not at all like the real thing, but bless your heart. Okay so this is kinda like common knowledge. What hurricane was considered the most devastating on record until Hurricane Katrina? - It did almost equal damage to Katrina if I'm not mistaken. I just don't remember the name of it. - I'll give you a hint, it's a male name - Is it? - and it starts with an A - Oh wait is it Hurricane Al- Alberto question marks? (record scratches) - Can you imagine that on the news sta-- Hey guys, we have Hurricane Alberto? Do you know how far Cuba is from Key West? - Isn't it like 1200, around like 1200, 1300 miles? - Nope. - Oh dang. See geography. - You tried. - I know history. - You tried. Okay this is some Miami history. - Okay! - I'm not that great at speaking French but here we go. What French landmark is one of Miami's most famous Cuban eateries named after? Musée du Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Château de Versailles, and Moulin Rouge. - Isn't it, wait I want to say it's the first one I just don't know how to pronounce it. - So you're gonna go with Musée du Louvre? - Yeah that's what we'll go with. - That is wrong. (buzzer sounds) - Oh dang. - Eh eh eh. - You're Cuban you can't come after me with French history. - There's actually one here in L.A. - Wait a second, Château de Versailles. That is 100%. - I needed to help you a little bit. - You know you gave me the reference of the L.A. landmark. I've been out here a little bit longer. Why does it look like you're grading a test right now? You're gonna like... - Because we take our culture very seriously. (air whooshes) - Hello hello. - Hello nice to meet you. What's your name? (Reggie speaks in foreign language) That's such good french! Are you Haitian? - Yes I am. - Ah clue number one! 'Cause Miami has a lot of Haitians. - That we do. - And there's Little Haiti. Do you know Spanish at all? - Enough to order food. - But you kinda know it a little bit to get by? - Yeah of course. - 'Specially if you had to work retail like me. People will straight up only speak to you in Spanish. - It's just overwhelming. - Did you work retail in Miami? - You coulda caught me at the Cotton On Dolphin Mall, you know. - Oh he dropped a... I used to work at Bath and Body Works in Dolphin Mall. - You're a liar. - I am not. Okay so - Hit me. - let's ask some questions. What is located at "Tropical Park, off Palmetto "and Bird Road"? - Jenny, my heart. (Reggie speaks in foreign language) You're talkin' 'bout Santa's. Santa's enchanted forest! - Santa's enchanted forest! (hands clap) - Boom. - Give you a high five for that. - This is what it's about! - Okay so who is "the Pimp With the Limp"? ♪ DJ Laz That Chicos a Pimp ♪ (Jenny cheers) - 100% 100% - Yes! - Hit me with the tough ones. - All right, which of these places would you not go to get fancy quinceañera photos. Viscaya, Bayside, or Biltmore. - I don't know if you can tell, but I didn't have a quinceañera. I would say, since the Biltmore is kinda just like a hotel, you probably wouldn't go there for the photos, but my second choice maybe b Viscaya 'cause that's where the Venetian pool is. You don't really want kids splashing around in the background but judging from your facial expression it's the one that wasn't either of those. - You're an actor aren't you? Goddammit Reggie (Reggie laughs) So you're saying the answer is Bayside? - Final answer, Bayside. - You are right. (bell chimes) - Whoo! Let's go! - I actually did my quinceañera photos at Viscaya and Biltmore. - Wow. - My mom wanted it all. And we're good! (air whooshes) (Jenny speaks in foreign language) - Save the best for last. - Yes, you look gorgeous. - Oh thank you. - I love the black dress. - Thank you so much. - What's your name? (Alma speaks in foreign language) That was French right? - Maybe. - Is that the only other language you speak? (Alma speaks in foreign language) - A little bit of French - I'm not assuming that you're Cuban, what is your background? - Mexican. - Cool I have Mexican friends in Miami. Which local restaurant chain is known for its ribs, wings, and collectible green cups? (Alma speaks in foreign language) - I used to be a hostess at Flanigan's. (Jenny squeaks) I used to host there! I think about it every once in a while too. - They have good food yo. Finish this jingle. - Oh jeez jingles. - Pollo Tropical, do you know it? - Why don't you ask me about the menu? Not the jingle. - Well give me the menu then. Do you have the menu? - No I don't. - I'll go back to another question that I asked previously, there is a chain of drive-thru farm stores. The Hispanics of Miami called it somethin' else based on the logo of the store. - I wouldn't know. (Jenny speaks in foreign language) (cow moos) - My (speaks in foreign language) was obsessed with making me drink milk and now I'm lactose intolerant. (Alma laughs) Thanks (speaks in foreign language) in heaven. - You are asking me the hardest ones. - Okay well this is gonna involve some cursing. People are always eating (bleep) in Miami. What does "eating (bleep)" mean? Use it in a sentence. - You got me there, again. - It actually means, I'm not doing anything. So in a sentence it's like, "Hey what are you doing?" "Nothing bro just eating (bleep)." (speaks in foreign language) thank you. - Thank you. You really tested me. - I'm glad. That was the point. (air whooshes) (speaks in foreign language) I know some of you may not even know what that means but I'm very happy to have met you all and interacted with each and every one of you. I'm not gonna lie when I first met you all I was like each and every one of you could easily be from South Florida. So I was a little torn between Reggie and Alma. Obviously Reggie answered almost all of the questions right, but you seemed like you have spent some time in South Florida, but the winner (drumroll plays) is Reggie. (celebratory music) My Haitian friend. - What was the answer that gave it to you. - Well it was the Dolphin Mall thing. Him working at the malls. But that was why. - In my defense I knew all of that but she asked me the ones that I didn't. - Where are you all from? - So I am actually from Florida and I'm not from Miami I'm from Orlando. - I love Orlando we always spend time there. Did you go to the parks a lot obviously? - I had my prom at Disney. - Of course and then... - 10 toes down. Born and raised. - Cool. - Who says that? 10 toes down. - That's a Miami thing (Jenny laughs) - Jenny I tried my best. - You did. - I'm actually born in New York and my experience with Florida's visiting my grandma in West Palm Beach. - My parents live in West Palm Beach. - Oh yeah I'm just from a small town in California but I go to Orlando every year, like once a year. So, like, that's about all I got for Florida life. - I'm from Mexico but I lived in Florida for like five years. Did go through the party scene too. - I just realized I didn't ask any clubbing questions. - You didn't, you would have believed me then. - Damnit! - I actually would have done horribly, you would have thought I wasn't from there from how little I went to clubs. - I went to the hipster clubs. This was a lot of fun and I hope you guys learned somethin' about Miami. So what city do you guys want to see next? Say so in the comments below. - Yo! Bye guys! (Jenny sings) (upbeat music)
