really enjoy this place and today we are starting in the outskirts of town we

have come to visit a farm it's called Narlu so we took the local bus into

town again grabbed a little cab really short rides just over a hundred pesos

and yeah we're here we can't wait to explore apparently this place has fruits

jams and cakes cakes right up our alley so let's go check it out

so we just picked up some nice little snacks to enjoy at the farm raspberries

are in season so we bought a little basket of those they also had Welsh cape

or Thornton Aida in Spanish and yeah we're just gonna take a little stroll

through this beautiful farm and then have a picnic before heading back into

town look at this they've got lavender field just to the side it's so peaceful

you can hear the wind blowing birds chirping I like it so Kintas Narlu

is where we are right now I didn't know what Narlu meant because it's not a

Spanish word and then we got chatting to the lady who owns this farm and she told

us Oh like that's my name I'm the descendant of Welsh settlers she's

fourth-generation and Narlu I guess it must be a Welsh name so yeah that's

pretty cool the farm is named after her they had so much to choose from in their

little store like they have honey they have all kinds of jams really cool

handmade souvenirs yeah it's a really cool spot we have more room in our

suitcases but we picked up a few items to snack on first up some raspberries

fresh raspberries you can see the name of the farm they're a team that's not

blue also a Welsh cake even wrapped it for us put a little sticker so kind okay

yeah so friendly the people in this town of Gaiman have been so friendly no one's in a rush

here everyone's just hanging out they want to chat with people find out where

you're from yeah like this is a place that you have to visit kind of like with

no itinerary and with no rush like without a care in the world go with the flow see what happens

yeah and now we're hanging out on a farm oh and the only reason we learned about

this place is because when we did our day trips around Peninsula Valdes would have a

list the second tour we did our guide told us about this place she's been here

a few times she loves and she's like if you go to Gaiman

you have to visit this farm and it's a little bit in the outskirts of town

you'd probably want to take a taxi or walk 40 minutes yeah we took a taxi in

but we plan to walk walk yeah that's a turkey exercise after cake very nice

presentation guys well it's cake time that's so good I only just discovered

welsh cake time I'm a fan it's got raisins walnuts I'm not sure

what these bits are maybe like dry fruit probably it's got dried food nuts

it's made with brown sugar yeah reminds me a little bit of Christmas cake yes it

does have a festive flavor hmm and for this one we paid 150 Argentine pesos yep and they

also had a larger size but we are planning to have tea afternoon tea later

on we got to pace ourselves if that's not good stuff okay how's that cake it's

amazing it has like that brown sugar that richness it kind of also tastes a

little bit like like rum I love all the reasons and nuts in there Jim

just has a very natural sweetness to it which I like too and raspberries we've

not tried the raspberries fresh from the farm I love it mmm oh wow Cole is just

outstanding anytime you can get you know fruit sourced locally rate rate I mean

right from the farm directly yeah and you know see you then ensues them sweet

and tart juicy I love it there's so much fun just hanging out in the farm having

a little bite I mean I couldn't think of a better way to be spending our day

while we're waiting to catch a bus and anything's this is fantastic

we have apples Granny Smith she told us we could take fruit and

sample but I feel kind of bad I'm not paying for it we only paid for cake and

raspberries oh yeah they do have apples are you going to become a farmer is that

your new ambition when your ambition is for us to have a property someday that

is big enough that we can plant some fruit trees yeah I love oh I love to

grow some apples and pears and apples and pears and plums money trees nobody

streets yeah let's let's grow some money trees I'd be fantastic

sorry guys we are back in town taking a quick break

whoa they said anywhere between 20 to 40 minutes I'm walking back into Gaiman

how long did it take us wins Locker 239 is and it was a very pleasant walk I not

sure what I don't know I'm not sure why you're out of breath I'm like dressed in

black wearing flannel it was so hot wardrobe wardrobe malfunction function I

thought I was gonna be cold oh there's a pose crossing the street

anyways we are really close to the tea house we're gonna be having tea at tea

Ty Te Caerdyd I don't know how you pronounce these Welsh names but either

way there is tea cake and scones on the horizon and that's where Princess Diana had her tea when she visited Argentina afternoon tea let's have it

we are still we are still not there what is going on

every time I must be right around the bend it's a wild goose chase this is

what are like fifth sign it just six seven

it just keeps telling us follow the arrow follow the arrow there's another

sign I cannot believe this we've been walking for miles miles how is this

diet food finally arrived at the teahouse Ty Te Caerdyd after that it's her old walk

and oven what a wonderful surprise this place is so luxurious it has

beautiful gardens it is not what we were expecting but I don't incredibly posh

and we're underdressed right now you know you're not

I feel wool fully under dress at the moment exercise yeah I looked at of like

are you sure I'm like a sweaty very the food has started arriving at the table

here we have some scones with butter we have artisanal bread yeah little ham

and cheese sandwiches you have different jams join them sandwiches how they are

they lovely honestly when we first got here they asked us have you already had

lunch and we were like no on top of that we've been walking from the farm in the

outskirts of town so we're like starved this is so delicious these are called

sandwiches Amiga yeah in Spanish and they're just so like fluffy and light

slightly puffy bread a little bit of cheese a little bit of him yeah the pigs

arriving cakes just arrived beautiful teapot I got myself a coffee

as well I'm gonna be having tea and coffee fabulous times I'm so happy the

bread secure oh all the carbs all the breads in the world so we have a scone

here and we also have buttered bread yes artisanal artisanal buttered bread yah

and guys we have two different jams so I'm gonna put one on the scone and

another one on the bread big chunks of fruit in

there oh yeah some jam on this one oh wow you're just loading it

I have not skimping that's for sure but it evenly distribute it across the piece

of bread it's gone so I'll go for this film first a classic and afternoon tea

oh I would describe that as scrumptious

mom just go in the jams the homemade jams my goodness don't you feel so

relaxed with the soft music and the little water fountain next to us I mean

I can usually have my siesta here after I know after stopping - we had beds like

look at this guy crashing after sugar high a little oasis and Latinos the

grapes guys thank you Oh mine will you get four different

cutting okay so in a simple employee basically there are eight different

types of cakes at the table yes but we have doubles of some including the cream

pie yep I'm very popular and the Welsh cake yeah which makes sense but we're

having washed tea that way we can both yeah okay also the Apple oh these are

these are the extras okay basically basically we have 12 pieces cake table

so we're gonna be showing you four eight eight queries that's a good thing we

still have a lot of hours to kill because we're gonna need some rest time

for this oh my my cream pie is delicious I've got some raisins in there next

we're gonna do the wall scape as an isolate and does and I've been

having a lot of wash cake lately this morning

it's got a lovely sugar boys all over it I didn't even know what cake it existed

until I came here I never tried any well that's embarrassing

in Oakland in all fairness we were both ridiculously sick when we were there

probably the sickest we've been in years maybe Walsh cake has a different name in

Wales maybe they don't call it lost cake maybe they just call it cake brown sugar

cake there you go you know let us know

yeah and chocolate and a thick filling I want to try and get everything in one

bite so you know the truth if someone came here and actually finished

everything that was brought to the table I would be a glorious sugar feet doesn't

it and I'm gonna take a break you can see absolutey I'm not even adding sugar

to my team black tea to try and take away the sweetness my palates closed the

colic cleanser all right introduce us see how our cake look at this colorful

assortment so it looks like we have a whole pie here this I believe has dulce

de leche in the middle that a glorious Argentine caramels milky spread over

here there's it looks like jello and and cream within the gelatin and you notice

raspberries in there raspberry right and then this one over here looks

like a quince jam with meringue with maybe meringue on top the hardest thing

is to decide what to go with first check the one in front of me is so smooth and

so part which I love because I have a feeling the rest of these are gonna be

super sweet it will move on to the dulce de leche if

that's what it is crumbly in them oh that's like

next-level decadent apple pie classic the classic look at the big chunks of

Apple that the apples here are so delicious like going to that farm which

is seeing all those different apple trees this morning it makes you realize

like that's why the color the apples are so good mm-hmm eating local is always

basket last but not least let's try this one this one to me looks like the pasta

dough ah mmm yeah the Quentin's cars also a bit target it's nice every cake

is there such a different taste and so you come here and it's like Oh every

bite is different yeah I'm with eight different ones like we've only each had

four off camera we're gonna you know sample each other's too so I mean

there's options of galore and quality is fantastic and you couldn't ask for a

nicer setting for that so what a way to spend an afternoon and this is a travel

day guys we've never had a travel day like this we really just killing time

and Cafe is and look at this the fanciest Travel day yet

well well that was pretty impressive and we've like little flies landing on

the lens alignment landing on my arm I've got two three of them biting wait

my hand and then a couple more putting my legs while I'm trying to hold the

camera that cake to go cake and breads to go we weren't able to finish

everything it was just so much food so good wasn't it good yeah we are beyond

stuff amazing price let's talk about that so afternoon tea was fifteen

American dollars per person and yeah we ate pretty upstanding value it pies

tarts sandwiches and they kept bringing us more tea gowns bread yeah it's one of

those activities where you don't want to just go for half hour an hour want to be

there for a while afternoon and yeah like I mean this place is not in the

center of town it's a bit of a walk or a cab ride yep but it's definitely worth

coming all the way out here yes little paradise a slice of paradise beautiful

gardens and roses we did not expect this at all

come here if you're coming all the way to Gaiman which is already kind of like

out of the way in the middle of nowhere you may as well seek out this place you

won't regret it now let's go before the mosquitoes eat
