  • today is on pronouncing the letter Y when you see it at the end of a short

  • word so super quick tip when we have a one syllable word and the word ends in a

  • Y we are going to pronounce it as I like we see in my by and shy but when we have

  • a two syllable word we are going to pronounce that Y as an e and that is in

  • baby happy and penny so let's start with that long e sound here easy one smile e

  • and make that vowel nice and long e your tongue is nice and high and flat in your

  • mouth and it's behind your top front teeth and it's not touching anything e

  • now for the I we're gonna start with a really wide open mouth and then we're

  • going to move to that e I I I make sure you make that very smooth with no break

  • in between okay let's give those both a try my by shy my by shy baby happy penny

  • baby happy penny my baby is shy but by the way she is also happy because I gave

  • her a penny give it a try I know people are going to notice the difference if
