I am your host Ashley, and on today's show we have an update in MapleStory, Nintendo making consoles for emerging markets and The Elder Scrolls Online console delays. Your daily XP starts now! MapleStory's 9th anniversary month has arrived, and with it comes a bunch of new updates and content to the game that seems to be still running strong after all these years. The Legacy of 9 update brings a new Soul weapon system, which converts your regular level 75 and up weapons into Soul Weapons, which charges a soul gauge when used, which leads up to a special skill, depending on your weapon. A Murgoth dungeon event for level 75 and up players can help you gain soul shards and other items, while the new overhauled guild system streamlines the Guild UI, increases the max level of your guild and adds new skills. There's much more in the update, which you can read on their website. Nintendo has announced plans to create new consoles and devices that are specifically targeted at emerging markets. In an interview with Bloomberg, the company president Satoru Iwata explained that Nintendo will be creating new hardware from scratch, and the products will not just be cheaper versions of the Wii U and 3DS. I did a bit of research on some emerging markets that Nintendo may be targeting. According to Wikipedia and the International Monetary Fund, some targets may be Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, India, Russia, China and Turkey. In the past Nintendo has always sold the same products globally, so the new changes at the company may be found in other products in the future. The elder scrolls online released a blog post today that detailed the games availability on next-gen consoles, and .. it's not good. Zenimax and Bethesda had planned on releasing the game on Xbox One and Playstation 4 in June, which is only a few weeks ago, but yeah, scratch that. They have now changed their plans a bit, and have moved it back six months to ensure they deliver "the experience our fans expect and deserve". Now, many of us will be quite disappointed in this news, 6 months is quite a long delay, but it dos correspond with the holiday buying season, so maybe now your parents and grandparents can buy it for you to save you some cash! There is a special online offer for anyone who plays the PC and Mac version by the end of June, which is to get a free character transfer to either console version upon release. You can also get a severe discount on the digital console version at that time. Thanks for watching the Daily XP. Be sure to hit that like button and subscribe to Attack Gaming for Daily content.
