Air Force Sergeant Paul Gonzales takes us to the Ramstein Mental Health Clinic.

These can all trigger post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD.

Virtual reality has helped veterans of Vietnam, the Gulf War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom

that suffer from PTSD. It virtually is putting them into that scenario,

but the objective is to address the anxiety, address the fears, address the thoughts going

through it. The idea is for them to kind of go back through

and finish telling their story and work their way through it.

[Gonzales] Patients can start the process of moving on and recovery.
