  • Hey, guys, Welcome back to my channel.

  • Virtual ticket to Japan.

  • So today I am with Cappie Cat.

  • Hey, I've done things to you know, she came to her house, and she's like, buffet.

  • And then I just turned until Lolita, I love this.

  • Look, this is the first time I've ever dressed up as a Lolita.

  • I've always wanted to do its fashion is just I wasn't sure what was I was gonna expect, but I really like it.

  • I feel so happy and fun and positive and like, so happy.

  • You're so bloody Well, I just thought this suits me really, really good.

  • I don't know.

  • What do you guys think?

  • Common Done Below the makeover that is actually only my child.

  • Yeah, if you If you would like to you please come over and say hi.

  • I do Japanese fashion living in Japan, all kinds of random things, cause I'm kind of a weird person.

  • So you come over here.

  • Hamburg.

  • Ekeus.

  • Well, so Salem stuff all around This place is so here here because we went outside, we took pictures.

  • So that was a bit of a wind going.

  • Yes.

  • We're going to talk about what we think about our style.

  • So this is Jade.

  • She's coming in right now.

  • She didn't start another style.

  • Another look.

  • So jade, I styled classical will lead to start.

  • Well, I sell you sweet Lolita.

  • Classical.

  • Really?

  • That, um rodota.

  • They're very different sounds in the leader fashion.

  • I wanted to have a big contrast between both of you.

  • Yeah, and as you can see, you look like a magical girl.

  • Little bit.

  • This really o t t style is getting a bit more out of fashions.

  • Sadly, recently, but I still love it, and I'm over here.

  • We have, like, the classical one.

  • You could wear this way really excited about the reactions that people had when we went outside because I was a little nervous cause I've never worn anything like this, but there but people were reacting so positively they loved are looks that kept saying like, Oh, I love how you look and everything you know, it's like this is a job.

  • This came from Japan.

  • That style, right, came from Japan.

  • Well, it has roots in the Victoria and the Row Cobra period, but it's actually like Japanese fashion designers took it and changed it.

  • Yes, this is the style that we have today.

  • Come on.

  • Excuse me and back.

  • It is very much a part of hard Juca fashions.

  • Harajuku fashion culture You might have heard.

  • It is very like popping extravagant, very fun.

  • Break Hawaii.

  • People looked at what the title Calais to it instead of saying cute on it is one of the biggest and most known styles I'd say abroad as well.

  • Lots of girls dressed like this when they go to Tea Party.

  • Supposed Grover's like this when they go to conventions.

  • Interesting enough.

  • I started Lolita fashion.

  • Not in Japan.

  • I had the clothes from Republican away.

  • A war them actually out in the UK actually great communities in different countries.

  • So there might be one actually in your country.

  • And the idea is that a later fashion it is nautical stupid.

  • That's what many people get from you with single.

  • You were seen cost.

  • I know.

  • I I was like, No, she didn't say it, but I would have really offensive because I was not used to this.

  • And I kept calling it a costume.

  • Yes, I don't dress up like that.

  • You will get it on all the time.

  • It's no cosplay, and it's not a cost.

  • It's like Poke, punk Gallagher and Lyle like a costume you want.

  • Same home goes a costume.

  • It's like a style.

  • Why did you start it?

  • Like what got you interested in it?

  • Well, I have the close, and I think that the close of a recognised appeal to girls, right?

  • It's really it's cute is different, like the same way you looked around my room and went like Although I gotta love all these dresses, I think we all have in our hearts that kind of like Golders thinking we're still like Trigger your things.

  • It's hard to find a caution bull costume.

  • They're hot defying a label.

  • They're right now.

  • They're loads of people who do like swap meets or order it online and ways of getting hold of it.

  • I gently in the morning if I know I have a shoot out because they issued quite a lot out in Tokyo in Malita, I know it depends on which season it is.

  • So, for example, in winter you need to lay your up is crazy to make sure that, you know freezing.

  • So we have, like loads and bloomers, layers and tights and seven coats, the coasting too much your outfit.

  • So that's a bit of a pain.

  • It can take anything from an hour, which is a quick getting ready to two hours, which is a slow getting ready to ours is actually more full dick aura, which means loads and loads of Peyton's in my here.

  • That's a different article fashion style, but it can merge with Lolita fashion.

  • You have like I like you guys to guess what kind of style that you're just looking around my room and the dresses that you can see.

  • Gosh, I don't even know how to name them.

  • So there's the sweet style, and there's a classical style.

  • You got that right there like a Gothic style.

  • Yes, Gauthier started from good point.

  • Actually, there are many, many different styles.

  • There's, for example, of popular wanna save a little bit.

  • Okay, Like I dress up there is a lot like that is a popular herbal in the circus.

  • Lolita is a popular circus that's interest Princess later, like Princess style human, is a very popular once.

  • It doesn't like more popular ones, and then I loads and loads of sub categories as well.

  • Think about Lolita fashion.

  • It's not sexual, so that's why this skirt is long.

  • You definite their rules.

  • Like the main rules.

  • Only the fashion issue.

  • Don't show cleavage.

  • You don't show too much skin.

  • You don't show too much leg, and you definitely have you your skirt like down.

  • Quite.

  • It's interesting because most girls wear it not to get a guy.

  • Most girls wear it for themselves to be like in love in like a princess, to make himself look partial.

  • Pretty, it is actually a very pricey fashion.

  • Like the first time I started getting into it, I was actually shocked.

  • Expensive.

  • It waas Yeah, I would think, though how much do you average Think like the address is?

  • A little depression dress, like one time mom, like three months, looks around 300 books.

  • That's what people spend, if you know something brand new and not in the sale.

  • It is between 203 100 bucks.

  • That's a lot.

  • A lot of money that so many little leaders struggled to get to the point.

  • They have shops like secondhand Lolita.

  • There are secondhand stops, but there but hard to get hold of her brought with me listening to swap meets.

  • So they say, like I have this dress.

  • I don't want to wear it as much.

  • You have that one.

  • Can we slept?

  • That's a really fun thing to do by Afford it?

  • What would I respect?

  • Highly Are built to make their own dresses like I'm every time inmates when I see girls who make their own dresses because they say I don't have much money, so I make it myself.

  • Your name is Kathy Cat.

  • Yes, do other Lolita's have different names, like for themselves?

  • Or, like, do they change to make it match their style?

  • Do actually some half a little leader named especially Japanese leaders will do that to protect their privacy.

  • Yeah, many people who are into this fashion that kind of shy, actually, like we guys were walking around in one way.

  • You said you like the stairs, but at the same time and make it feel bitch, I right.

  • So we Japanese people, many of them they want to wear this, but they're very shy about it.

  • So they protect their privacy by making a different Facebook account for the Lolita identity in such I see.

  • So that's interesting.

  • But I Kathy Cat was just actually for my YouTube channel.

  • So it's not a mighty leader name.

  • It's just OK, Um, I must say, when it started, I was in the okay and I was looking up to have a kind of accepting environment around me.

  • Like you can you can wear crazy things without saying too many things back in Germany.

  • Wouldn't be so good.

  • Like you re dressed down a lot in Germany, never thinking for every practice from Germany originally and from Jim, I almost shock.

  • The first time she sold me a she knew about it.

  • But she for a moment she was like, Where is my daughter?

  • Wow, She was lately like, whoa, I've never wanted for with my dad.

  • I don't think I will ever happen at this rate.

  • My friends who knew me before started Lolita fashion.

  • I would like you still doing this, but everyone who had been with Lolita fashion is very like, Oh my God, it's also will of it.

  • We check your instagram, all the good stuff, it different.

  • It depends on what your general ideas on fashion are hoping your way, actually, Really, with the larger Chester's less dresses you can wear because they're all known to be like, you know, hide everything away.

  • Very modest in such So if you have like a super curvy hourglass body, you hide everything.

  • E everything incident.

  • You don't really really sites, which is good cause I love it.

  • They're very, very there.

  • Many like plus size Lolita's.

  • I love seeing plus size leaders because you know, it's a community of that I think should be accepting off any body size off any black ground of any of skin color and nothing.

  • That's the beauty.

  • I think that the Lolita fashion there's more focus on the look and less on the body, like the body saying it's more like people see you as like they just focus on what you're wearing and not what you look like.

  • You know, like it's kind of like a nice feeling and kind of high.

  • It's like you're I guess I wouldn't say like imperfection and about you feeling good about feeling good about yourself?

  • Yeah, exactly.

  • That's what it is all about.

  • If there's anybody that's watching this video and is interested in, like dabbling in Lolita, fashion and style, what advice would you give?

  • What advice would I give?

  • I mean, first of all, have a look around what you see, like, see if there's a community knew.

  • You see what kind of dress is your because many Bruns and their many styles, so it's for it at the beginning, is like wolf.

  • Once you look up, you find a lot.

  • But then find what you want to do, what you can get and their first maybe look at what kind of style you want to buy, which brand you want to support.

  • For example, I recently been buying a lot of minimal photos because that's a brand.

  • I think I want to stay around because many brands are dying at this point, so find a brand you want to support, maybe save up, see how you can actually get hold of that front.

  • Now online, you can find a lot of trolls as well, and people who are nasty but tried to find a good and supportive environment.

  • That was the big point for me, Like the lovey does.

  • I've met their super supportive research.

  • Eso you don't want to get anything like Roman were something that people like.

  • That's not really a Why you here?

  • A little bit of research.
