Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles and we also found a secret forest right near Odaiba but we already know daya today and while there are countless fun and interesting ways to come to Odaiba today today we took the boat ten o'clock we're heading to Odaiba in style what do you think of the boat? there are no words for how cool this is that's pretty awesome eh there's not actually a whole lot to say it's a boat that goes from Asakusa to Odaiba. also a note just for the history books this area right behind me right here under construction that is a construction of the Olympic Village the last boat fact right now we're on the Hotaluna and this is the Himiko they look almost the same but they're a little different fun fact about the Himiko boat it was actually based off an old Japanese anime series and the guy who did the anime series designed the boat now these boats do go both ways you can take the boat from us Asakusa to Odaiba or vice versa but we're not taking a boat back today we have other plans you see 10 years ago my little brother Alexander came out to visit me here in Tokyo for the first time there was one thing that we didn't get to do and we're gonna try and box that off today that one thing is walking Rainbow Bridge the Rainbow Bridge walk is about 1.7 kilometers around 2 kilometers once you get there and they say it takes about 20 to 30 minutes but there is a catch the catch is that when you get there it might not even be open it's closed on the third Monday of every month we've avoided that but in the case of strong winds it also shuts down also a lot of stuff in Japan will just close at random times that that does happen we could have checked ahead but where's the adventure in that so it looks like we've gotten to the base of the bridge and I guess we're about to find out if we're actually gonna be able to walk it what do you think man do you think we're gonna be able to walk the bridge I think so I got a good feeling about Alexandra's got a good feeling about it so if we can't walk it it's really more on him than anything else I'm going to show you something you can bring a bicycle but you've got to push it by hand these little trolleys down here are to make sure that you push your bicycle instead of writing I'm so excited about this like I've been over Rainbow Bridge probably yes I said rain boo I've been over Rainbow Bridge probably a hundred times in every method of transportation you can think of train I guess there's nothing that many that's like train in motor vehicle but but finally after 10 years we get to walk it we have a decision to make right at the beginning if you notice it splits off into two sides on one side we get like the ocean and Odaiba view and on the other side we get the city view do you have a preference thank the city of you yeah there it is we've been on the bridge for about five minutes and I've already lost Alexander to photography it is incredibly photogenic and the views speak for themselves right before getting on to the actual bridge area itself there is one more opportunity to change over to the other route okay I understand the sign and all but where would you cross to I want to know what happened that they needed to put up that side maybe I don't I have my fingers crossed for vending machines with no such luck one thing I will say though is that if you're sensitive to things like car fumes I wouldn't recommend this walk dude a quiet moment it's amazing how few people there are up here I think I'm going to put this on the list of really good activities for a super hot summer's day because it is currently 36 degrees out we're not feeling it at all this is a good summer activity there was something for a short rest to check out the area let me show you where we are they've got all these pictures up they kind of break down the different views that are across here and it's actually just kind of a nice fun Kasey's do run into any like emergency trouble there is an emergency phone up here of nice elevator there's nobody in here it's like a ghost town it is Alexander Oh finally numbers yeah if you get three the same numbers you get a free drink that's cool yeah on the Shibaura side, walking Rainbow Bridge wasn't I love the reflection of this look at this I don't know about you but I kind of miss Odaiba the other side was more beautiful it had the beach the side has like shipping yards and like construction I have an idea and just like that back in Odaiba actually it wasn't just like that we actually walked back on the other side because we were both kind of curious above the views a note of the views the views were nice we did enjoy it we also found a secret forest right here in Odaiba but I feel like that's gonna have to be a story for another time if you had to choose between the two sides the one we went up on and the one we came back on which one would have been your favorite yeah I like that city view and that in a nutshell is what it's like to walk Rainbow Bridge what did you think if it's great I loved it I waited 10 years for Alexander to come back to do that I would say was worth it normally I would say give that like button some love and don't forget to hit subscribe but you know what I think it'd be a lot more fun if you just went and checked out two or three more Tokyo Lenz videos and let me know which one you loved the most anyways guys thank you so much for joining this adventure I'm gonna go spend some time with Alexander and you know we will see you again real soon
