  • Just keep that in your mind cause you never able to get it out.

  • Bob Loblaw Way Have a conversation about Basil before we go anywhere else.

  • Look at how lush and beautiful this basil looks, and then I bring it home to my house and it just dies instantly.

  • I don't want your love.

  • Everything does better with Basil dammit reporting to you from the all of section right now, which behind me is this is normally like Scoop Herbal, and I know this because I used to work in the deli in Metro was like my first jobs ever.

  • I just want to comment on the fact that the produce section here is like the entire grocery store in Japan, like everything is so big and spacious.

  • I completely forgot about these like aisles and everything.

  • It's crazy for me.

  • Look how big this is.

  • There's just so much room.

  • Mind it just goes on.

  • Look at all this room.

  • That's like two Japanese round styles.

  • Fishmonger, are you?

  • Do you monger fish?

  • But do you do you?

  • This is a bit of a Canadian bonus round to you guys.

  • Did you know that in Canada we use milk bags?

  • So these are three leader individual plastic bags, three of them, and you put them into a jug.

  • And I know you're not used to that, right?

  • Catch chips.

  • Very normal.

  • Addictive.

  • Never passed the parolee section off.

  • Okay, Hrudey's are amazing, and you generally can't go wrong with them.

  • Like the more homemade you get with your Perot bees, just the better that yet.

  • But even this, like no name brand club size to seven years to put $3 bag is gonna be amazing.

  • We've reached the seer file, and I'm disappointed to tell you guys that Canada is not made up of maple syrup.

  • I want to tell you guys it's a frickin expensive even for us.

  • Look at this.

  • $17.

  • It's a jug like if I have my friends over and it is a glug, this you're kind of like $17 like most of us have been buying like syrups that are just kind of like your flavor for like 3 29 and Jim, I'm a which is, like, super popular.

  • And then, like once in a while, you might get something with maple syrup in and feel like excited.

  • Um, but yeah, it's not.

  • It's like it's literally super expensive for us.

  • Even in Canada, it's very site.

  • It feels like it would be nearly irresponsible.

  • Do not buy a pair of pajama pants with Canadian maple on it.

  • Right, you guys right?

  • I'm absolutely aware that I'm supposed to be doing a grocery shopping video, but I just the PG section.

  • That's right.

  • They have this, like, miniature like grocery like you got the grocery store right here and then you've got, like, all this area for, like, clothing.

  • And this is Joe Fresh, which is like the brand of LA blows which didn't exist when I was young.

  • But look, these p jeez, puppies on them, you could be like about waiters all over my pants.

  • This is so cute Guineas and Ringo's with around the most Canadian thing ever.

  • I mean, very Canadian.

  • If I button it up, you really wear it with, like, a skirt or something?

  • A.

  • The question is, if I should get back here or not, I'm loving this ridiculous spot in a sale.

  • Really help the 50% off in a fixed day.

  • My boobs.

  • They finally fitting things kind of This is the like, super European side of Toronto.

  • This is why you always miss lunch meats, because there's just, like such this massively amazing selection of lunch meats to choose from.

  • So when I see, like one tiny piece of payment Tokyo Department store for, like $8 and I see this amazing selection in Toronto, it's It's pretty rough.

  • So two of these for 3 99 it's pretty nice.

  • And then we got the smoked sausage and that 13 66.

  • This is caramelized onion and maple coffee, which is basically like a sweet and savoury spread beat and red onion marmalade red pepper jelly so it's a bit spicy and sweet at the same time, and injury and red chili jelly fancy lives like this fancy, All right.

  • We hit the right section, and it's like it's pretty good considering this is North America.

  • This stuff up here is pretty much like just instant rice, like the biggest story I've ever seen.

  • And then we got the import rice.

  • So rice over here.

  • We've got rights from Thailand.

  • We've got rights from China and not one definitely from Japan.

  • But I've never seen this in Japan.

  • Maybe they've rebranded, I don't even know.

  • But like it's called Brandy, making it big in Toronto.

  • Get that cock.

  • Oh, sorry, Rooster brand.

  • That's real, though.

  • Pretty good selections.

  • Race here is from India.

  • Rice from the Middle East.

  • Boss Mahdi, That's something that I do love about Toronto.

  • It's It's pretty much got everything.

  • Rice paper.

  • Maybe some of you guys recognize these brands, but they might be in your home language because I remember the first time I saw, like a Korean noodle in Canada.

  • It was written Caden and I was like, What's going on?

  • Canadian in English potato Gonna grab myself My good dinner.

  • I'm gonna get a chicken tikka masala.

  • Of course, there are, like, a ton more choices.

  • Like when I used to work in Starbucks, I'd always get these like rice steamer bulls and stuff.

  • And now they have these kind of like funky looking ones with egg and cheese scramble.

  • I get like, this looks like gourmet, but you know, I love microwave dinners in Japan, so I've got a computer, right?

  • I can try them all again and compare them to the Lawson's losses versus frozen microwaved dinner Wednesday evening.

  • This is a craft beer section, and there's like wine over here, and I'm in the grocery store and for some of you guys is like normal.

  • But when I left Canada, we weren't allowed to buy alcohol, So this is all very exciting for me.

  • I mean, obviously where I've been living, you could buy alcohol at the grocery stores like Korean, Japan.

  • That's 75 g to 140 g of import cheese in Japan, like 1 to 2 hamster sizes of worth of cheese.

  • And if you're looking at the prices, 75 Brands is selling for around six bucks, 140 grand is going for around $4.

  • And look at the comparison.

  • This is 400 g of cheese, you guys, it was $8 in on sale for five bucks, but that's so cheap.

  • That's why you can make, like, Mac and cheese and like different kind of cheese plates.

  • And that's why we can't have that in Japan If I eat this much, do that Never had a brew, but again, I think this has been a big enough adventure for me.

  • I'm like nodding off in having a really hard time adjusting to the time zone.

  • Got a little glance of a Canadian grocery store.

  • I've just never seen it this empty, but I guess that's the way that it is now because of Kobe.

  • And on top of that, it's probably like I'm used to the emptiness which is Japan, which is, like, always busy and bustling.

  • But this is like like I can count how long it takes for me to find another person.

  • But in Japan, it's like any back alleyway.

  • You're down here like there's a person going to cash he's out of.

  • I was actually really curious, but what is gonna taste like?

  • So this is chicken tikka masala.

  • It's made with basmati rice, and this is what it looks like now I gotta say this looks Pull Retty growth for microwave dinner.

  • It was seven minutes in the microwave Basmati race is actually like It's very fluffy, like it has that kind of texture that you should have when you have Indian rice.
