Hi, today I’m going to talk to you about the difference between the words champagne, champion and campaign.
Champagne – SHAM-PAIN – Champagne is this lovely, bubbly, alcoholic beverage. Ummmm, so good!
Champion – CHAM-PEE-UN – A champion is someone who is the best at something, like soccer or football or a particular sport.
Campaign – CAM-PAIN – A campaign is when someone is working towards a particular social or political goal.
For example, when the president is trying to get into office, we call it a presidential campaign.
So remember, champagne is what we drink. Champion is someone who wins or is the best of and Campaign is for a political or social goal.
