A peanut digger digs them out of the ground,

shakes the dirt off, and turns the plant over so that peanuts

can dry in the sunlight.

A machine called a peanut picker separates the peanuts

from the vines.

The peanuts are loaded into trucks,

and brought here to the factory.

Here they are put through a cleaning process,

dried and roasted in giant ovens.

After that, the peanuts are ground

into a paste and blended with sugar, salt, and oil

to make the peanut butter.

Jars are filled.

And the peanut butter is loaded onto trucks

and shipped to customers like you.
