Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles (engine humming) - Give you ride up to Billings. I'm headed that way. - Yeah, that would be great. (slow electric guitar music) - Rainwater and Monica kind of team up and form this coalition to catch this guy. - That's in a large part why Rainwater wants the sovereignty of land, to have his own jurisdictional control so he can protect his people. - Monica decides that she wants to kind of do something about it, get her hands dirty, and get involved in a way that kind of puts her in some danger. - What are you doing? - There's a spot up here, you can get great cell service. - Rainwater and Monica kind of got off to a rocky start because she was always kind of protecting Kayce. - Rainwater comes to understand how important it is for Monica to really do something. - They see eye to eye on this, and they found a way where they can really work together. (gritty rock music) So Monica is picked up by this man who's gonna take her to town, to call someone about her car. He ends up taking her to this remote location. - Come on. - Doesn't go as planned. She has to run for her life. - You know, it's really unexpected and you don't see it coming. (grunting) (punch thudding) - And ends up fighting him, really having to fight him off until Mo kind of saves the day. And you realize that it's part of this operation, that Rainwater has worked out with Mo and Monica to really stop this from happening. - You're a brave woman. - Thank you for not missing. - I wouldn't do that to you. - It was a difficult visceral experience. I mean, it's a gut wrenching thing to read it, but, to act it out was more devastating, I think, in some way. - They found remains. - Only have to use your imagination to think what it is to lose a loved one. And then you multiply that some thousands of times, and I'm glad that we're covering that kind of subject matter so people can know. (tense sighing) (uneasy slow music) - Something I really admire about the way Taylor's written Monica in general is the fragility of being a strong woman. - It's actually some of my favorite stuff of her. Just kind of beautiful that she's trying to help these girls that grew up the way that she did. - She's so resilient with what she's had to face and overcome, but to see these kind of behind closed doors moments where she's scared and alone and feels these responsibilities. I killed a man today. (shower splattering) (soft crying) And yet she still pulls through. (intense slamming) (slow tense music) - Jamie gets some big news about his past. That's one that I didn't see coming, for sure. I don't know who knows and who doesn't. He comes into the office, kind of start to tell me, they're trying to acquire the land and how much money they're offering. He says, "Brother." - If I can still call you that. - Kayce says, "Until the day you die, you better not call me anything else." It reminds me of a moment from last season, which one of my favorite moments he says, "Do you forgive me?" I said, "You're my brother." And he said, "You didn't answer my question." Yeah I did. And it's one of those things again, where it's like, how important family is to Kayce and also to this show. And it's gonna be interesting to see where these two land now with the big news and how they're gonna feel about it, each other, as things move forward. - I think in a lot of ways, Jamie's gonna fall into a sort of a assessment mode. Like any emotion, any attachments to him that he was clinging onto him, like, forcing to be there, doesn't have to be there anymore. - I think it's really going to change the whole course of Jamie's character. He's not who he always thought he was. You have someone who knows everything about the family who has a lot of power and we don't know how they're gonna react to this news and having probably felt like they'd been lied to their whole life. - I need a best man, I'm asking you. - Lloyd kind of knows something's up when he turns the horse loose. - I have decided to ask him to be my best man. (horse whinnying) - I'm proud that he take that next step that he has evolved to even be in that situation. Me and Cole, 'cause we spend so much time together off camera, that when we get in front of camera, it's just so natural. (laughing) (upbeat country music) - That's a cut. (intense upbeat music) - It's a nice day, there's a river. He's a good looking man. Why the hell would they not go skinny dipping in a river? - That's when Wade and Clint come up and try to stomp 'em to death with horses. - I thrive on doing stunts. - That was an interesting mix of doing it live out there, practically, with the actors and with stunt doubles. - Trying to make that look real, that's a challenge for the stunt people. But then to film the scenes underwater, we developed a tank. - Where we really were punching him with fake horse legs. - Things to know, the river was cold. And again, our stunt people, they're there way before us. - Wade and Clint, obviously they go back with John. Again, it's kinda like these wildcard characters where you don't really know how far they can go. Now you're just gonna trample on us in order to send a message. So that clearly tells us that your hate for John Dutton and the Yellowstone, it goes very, very deep. (intense slamming)
