  • And that's why I've invited a special friend to tell us more about this special month.

  • I am so happy to be here and to celebrate Black History Month with you.

  • Black History Month is when we pay extra attention to celebrate, learn and understand the history and contributions of African Americans.

  • Yeah, it's a time to celebrate some amazing heroes.

  • Heroes like John Lewis, who worked hard for equal rights and fairness for all of us.

  • Or Dr Mae Jemison.

  • She was the first black woman astronaut to travel into space.

  • I want to be a superhero.

  • But you don't.

  • You can be Elmo.

  • We all could be.

  • I am proud of who I AM and my heritage.

  • Remember, black history is everybody's history.

  • Yeah, we should celebrate it every day.

  • I agree.

  • We should celebrate the amazing work of African Americans each and every day.

  • Yeah, that's right.

  • Today I wanna wish everyone Ah, happy Black History Month.
