Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles hey everyone Jennifer from Tarle Speech with your two for Tuesday I have a great request for this week we have the words at it and add it the person wants to know I think they sound the same do they really sound the same and the answer is yes so to say these words correctly or these phrases correctly what we're going to do is we're going to start with that open ah sound just open your mouth wide tip of your tongue is low in your mouth back is pulled up next we're gonna move to a D sound by touching the tip of the tongue to the back to front back of the top front teeth the voice box is on and moving ad then we're gonna end with it to do this short I sound ih mouth is somewhat relaxed and tongue is high in the mouth but not behind the top teeth just that little bit down and then we're gonna end with the t t to do this tip of the tongue touches the back of the top front teeth voice box is off and not moving so that sound will be softer so let's put it all together ad it ad it ad it at it add it at it and if you're wondering how I did that T at the end cuz I didn't explode the air all I did is I kept the tip of my tongue behind my top front teeth and that keeps the air from exploding out now let's try it in a sentence keep at it and you can add it to your list of accomplishments give it a try people are going to notice the difference if you found this helpful we'd love a like a share to subscribe you can check out our products on Google Play and iTunes and our classes at tarle speech if you're looking for more help thanks everyone have a great week
