[MUSIC PLAYING]
OK, Elmo.
It's bedtime.
Uh huh.
It's important that you get a good night's sleep, son.
But isn't Daddy forgetting the last part
of Elmo's bedtime routine?
Oh, well, let's see.
You brushed your teeth.
Yeah.
Took a bath.
Uh huh.
You got your PJs on.
Yeah.
Hmm.
What is next in our bedtime routine?
Story time!
Are you sure?
Yeah, Elmo sure!
That's right.
Well, which story should we read tonight?
Um, what's that, Baby David?
Oh!
Baby David wants to hear a story about ducks.
Oh, and so does Elmo.
Elmo loves ducks.
Well you and Baby David are in luck.
I have a story about ducks right here.
[LAUGHS]
This book is called Quack, Quack, My Ducky's Came Back.
Here we go.
Wait a minute, Daddy.
You have to quack more like a duck.
You know, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
Oh, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
Yeah, that's better.
Hey, how about you and Baby David
help me quack when we get to that part of the story?
Oh!
Quack, quack, quack, quack!
Oh, and you can quack along with us too!
OK, this story is about a little monster and his ducks.
Wait a minute, Daddy.
A little monster like Elmo?
Ooh, Daddy, can Elmo be in the story, please?
Of course you can be in the story.
Thank you!
[CLEARS THROAT]
Elmo and four ducks went to the lake to play.
Suddenly, one duck swam away.
Elmo said, "Ducky dear, please come back."
All the duckies said was--
Oh, here comes the quacking!
Quack, quack, quack!
[LAUGHS]
Well, Elmo.
Huh?
Where do you think that ducky went?
Um, well, Elmo thinks that the ducky went home for snack time.
Oh.
Yeah.
Elmo and the three ducks played happily,
flapping like ducks do.
Then, surprise!
Before Elmo's eyes, away another flew.
Elmo said, "Ducky dear, please come back."
All the duckies said was--
Quack, quack, quack!
[LAUGHS]
Hmm, why do you think that ducky flew away, Elmo?
Um, ooh!
Elmo thinks that that ducky had to visit his nana.
Oh!
With two dogs, Elmo played peekaboo.
Peekaboo!
They laughed and had such fun.
Then, uh oh!
Time to go!
Another duck had to run.
Elmo said, "Ducky dear, please come back!"
But all ducky said was--
Quack, quack, quack!
Now where did that ducky go?
Elmo thinks that that ducky had to go to the potty.
Sometimes, Elmo has to run to the potty too.
Oh.
[LAUGHS]
One duck and Elmo, happy as can be,
skipped and jumped until the ducky laid down and rolled down
the hill.
Elmo said, "Ducky dear, please come back!"
All ducky said was--
Quack, quack, quack!
[LAUGHS]
Elmo thinks that the ducky laid down because it was nap time.
Oh!
But Daddy, now there's no more duckies.
What's gonna happen?
Well, let's keep reading and find out.
OK.
There Elmo was, all alone.
But he knew how to get the four duckies back.
Elmo took a deep breath and began to quack!
Oh, here we go!
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack,
quack, quack, quack!
[LAUGHS]
That was a lot of quacks!
Yes, it was.
And just like that, the ducks came back!
Yay!
A monster and four birds, happy as ever.
They had fun, and all played together.
Quack, quack, quack!
[LAUGHS]
The end.
Oh, Daddy, Elmo loved that story.
I loved that story too.
Yeah, really quacks me up.
Ha!
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
Good night!
Good night!
Oh, Daddy!
Hm?
Elmo loves you more than cheese and quackers!
[LAUGHS]
I love you too, son.
Night night.
Good night!
Good night, Baby David.
