Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hey guys! I am out in Akihabara today I'm gonna show you my favourite spot to get anime and cosplay goods in Akihabara You guys know that I'm a super big fan of Nakano Broadway and absolutely love it, but the place that I'm going to show you today actually outdoes Nakano Broadway, in a few categories! So I'm excited to give you a tour of it! First I would like to introduce you guys to Veerle! She's here visiting from the Netherlands! She is actually the winner of Viewster's Take Me To Tokyo Contest! So she won a trip to Japan for a week! And we're going to hang out in Akihabara today I would like to give a big thank you to Viewster for sponsoring this video and offering to pay for our day out in Akihabara today, that was very awesome If you don't know Viewster, it's a website where you can stream anime for free and they have less ads than other sites Totally recommend it if you're an anime fan and you're looking for a place to watch anime Check it out, I will link it down below! But yeah! Let's get started on the tour! So the name of the building I'm giving you a tour of is Animate They are just the pros of everything anime We're on the 1st floor right now in the gacha section! Of course Veerle needs to try some gacha This is my first time trying them! Ok that's exciting, I'm so excited for her haha Really cool What is that? Aww My Melody, that one's really cute too And then you just turn the thing? Which one would you like to get the most? I actually really love these two Yeah those are cute I got a pink one! I love pink How do you open it? Oh gosh, that's the hardest part. They usually tape it I got the one I wanted!! Dude! You are so lucky! Congratulations~! Nice work! You're already better than me at this Ok so besides all the gacha machines the first floor is filled with LOTS of anime goods I've noticed the 1st floor seems to carry mostly anime that is popular right at the moment They don't really have any older stuff If you're looking for an older anime I would try some of the upper floors On the 1st floor right now is lots of Love Live stuff That's probably one of the most popular anime in Japan at the moment So you'll see lots of that But they also had a couple other things like nail stickers and cat ears Oh and this souvenir section had some really yummy looking cookies They also had sake with anime characters on it Which I thought would make a cool souvenir Up on the second floor they have lots of anime DVDs and they have a small cosplay section but there's a much better one up on the 5th floor that I'll be showing you in a minute! What I like about the 2nd floor is they have lots of discounted anime goods Lots of stuff with really good deals up there! So I would say start on the higher floors and work your way down And if you couldn't find what you wanted up there then you could get some on the bottom floor But the 1st floor was definitely a lot more expensive The 3rd floor is amazing because they have used stuff So again, it's a lot more affordable than new products Lots of collectors dolls and stuff that you would not see for sale new anymore So if you're looking for older anime, check the 3rd floor for sure They also had an amazing Pokemon plushie section! And lots of Pokemon figures! This store definitely kicks Nakano's ass in Pokemon goods So if you're looking for Pokemon stuff, I recommend this place Look at all these adorable plushies! Apparently these POP! dolls are popular overseas? I've never seen them before but they have those as well And lots of gacha toys! Lots of hamsters for some reason... If you like hamsters! Oh this section! I love this place! It's little kitchen figures? I don't know if you know what I mean If you had a doll house, these would be great for stocking your doll house Lots of really cute stuff! And I found the Rilakkuma Cat Series! Which I was really excited about and wanted to buy all of it But I resisted (T__T) But it's here, so if you want it, you know where to get it! The 4th floor seemed to specialise in figurines So if you're looking for figurines, come up to the 4th floor! Lots of used stuff Pretty good prices, comparable to Nakano Broadway The thing that I prefer about this store to Nakano Broadway It's all in one spot, so it's a lot easier to find something Whereas with Nakano you have to go to each separate store it's like an adventure when you're looking for something The 5th floor is the cosplay floor! They have lots of great cosplay makeup! and their wig selection is definitely the best that I've seen in Japan Hundreds! Hundreds of wigs. And lots of them are pre-styled to the characters So if you're not good at styling wigs, you'll probably be able to find ones that are pre-styled here Lots of cool accessories like shoes and ribbons Basically anything you would need for cosplay, the 5th floor will have it Lots of really cute Sailor Moon costumes! Costumes from basically any anime I saw costumes from older anime, current anime... They had weapons! Check out the weapons section This is just like a cosplayer's dream Lots of costumes to look through They all looked really good quality and they weren't very expensive So how did you enjoy Animate? I loved it so much! We spent a really long time inside and there's so much to see! Probably about 3 hours? We got quite a few things I actually bought this bag of stuff for you guys! So if you would like to win some anime goods I'm not sure what your favourite animes are, so I just picked some random stuff Most of it is pretty girly But there's lots of Sonico goods in there So you guys will probably enjoy those Sonico goods (#bewbs) So leave a comment down below and tell me your favourite anime! and I will use that random comment picker website to choose one of you and I'll announce the winner 2 weeks from the day I release this video So check the description box for details! Good luck guys! And thanks for watching! And thanks for joining me today! Bye!! :D
