Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hey guys! Okay today on Blabbing With Becky, we're gonna learn how to identify and keep secrets. Because some people, Ashley, do not know that you shouldn't blab about my armpit fungus. Okay, some people don't know when a secret is a secret. So let's look at some vocabulary to tell someone: "Hey Ashley, this is a secret don't tell anyone!" What happens on this channel stays on this channel. Our first expression is: "Do not breathe a word of this to anyone." For example: "Okay but like don't breathe a word of this to anyone, like I trust you and everything, but I have the biggest crush and this guy Justin in my art class." "He has the coolest face and beard, and he's so good at sports, and oh my god I'm blushing." Okay, okay next expression, next expression! "Keep it to yourself." "Keep it quiet." "Keep it on the DL." What's "The DL"? "The Down Low" so you could say: "Keep it on the Down Low!" For example: "Okay, oh my god, I have a secret." "Keep it on the down low," or "keep it on the DL." "Maria from our school is dating Mr. Bunsen the science teacher!" Okay let's go to the phones. Who is our first caller? What's your secret? -Hey it's Ashley! -Oh my god hey Ashley Sorry about that armpit fungus thing. Oh my god Ashley! it's fine! Just shush! Is the fungus cream working? is it getting better? Oh my God, Ashley! Okay so my secret is, but like, don't tell your friend Jenny. She's a crazy gossip. A super gossip! Keep it on the DL! Jaymee's pregnant! Yeah, and word on the street is, Justin Bieber is the father! -Oh my god! -Yeah. -No way! Hailey Baldwin is gonna be super pissed! Okay, Ashley, thank you for calling. We'll come back to the phones later, but our next expression is: "Keep it under your hat," or "keep it schtum!" I know! This one sounds more British, I know, ew! But it's worth mentioning because people do use it often, and again it just means, "Don't tell anyone!" Okay let's get back to the phones Who's the next caller, and what's your secret? Try to use that expression please! Hey it's Jaymee! Oh my god Jaymee, um... did you hear the last caller? What? No, I just got the notification that you're live now. Okay, good. Okay, good. Okay, so keep it under your hat, but I have an infection in my bum. Oh my god, is so itchy Becky, but like keep it schtum! Oh god Jaymee! I don't think you know how this show works. We have to meet soon, I've got some beans to spill! Yeah, I wonder what that could be. Okay, bye Jaymee! Oh my god! Jaymee! Okay, the next one is super weird: "Keep mum." I know it's so weird! But again, it's just a way to tell someone: "Hey keep it a secret! Don't tell anyone!" The next expression is: "This stays between you and me," "This stays between us," or "This stays in this room only!" This one is a bit more formal. So maybe if you're in a business meeting or a more formal situation, you may want to use these expressions. Okay let's take our last caller. -Oh, hey it's Justin! -Oh F***! Hey Justin! Oh my god! Justin, I still have your pen by the way! My pen? I mean, sorry, um, you gave me a pen last year. It's, it's fine, just, if you want it back I can I can give it to you I can come to your house. Sorry, what's your secret? So like keep it on the DL I got this huge crush on a girl! Oh my god really?! Yeah, she's in my art class! WHAT!? I mean um. Really? Wow! So, like, I probably know her then, huh? You definitely know her, she's, she's super close to you! Oh my god, it's happening! Okay, I mean, it's Ashley, but it's between us, Becky! You're like my sister, you're my best friend! Okay, yeah, no, no I won't tell anyone, it'll stay between us, don't worry! It will not leave this room! Okay thanks I'll see you in class! Okay, bye.
