Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hey guys, it's Shane from English Understood here. It's a great place to live cozit's got good weather. Cozit's got good weather. Huh!? Cozits. What's 'cozits'? C O Z I T S? When native speakers say 'because it's' really really quickly, we don't say 'because', we just say 'coz'. 'Coz' is the short way to say 'because'. And then we join 'coz' with 'it's'. 'Cozits'. 'Cozits.' Now you try. Cozits. Normally, when we have a word which starts with a vowel after 'because', we can say 'coz'. And then join 'coz' and the next word together. For example: 'You should eat apples cozapples are delicious.' 'You should eat apples cozapples are delicious.' This means you should eat apples because apples are delicious. Another example could be: 'Stand there cozunder the tree is dry.' 'Stand there cozunder the tree is dry.' This means stand there because under the tree is dry. So practice this with your native speaker friends, and they will think you are a native speaker as well.
