We're going on our biggest family trip in over 3 years and to do that there are a ton of things that need to happen, including passing our COVID test in order to fly. It's a pretty beautiful day, huh? Yeah! I can see Yumiurilando. Isn't that cool? It's right next to us, Dude. Can I wave? It's faster than us! It's just a little bit faster! Oh my goodness! Bye bye train. He's going to stop at the next station and we're not. We're going to a clinic in Shinjuku that gives us a one day turnaround with the test. Hopefully everything is a green light to fly. [Announcer] You will soon arrive at Shinjuku terminal. [Live in Japan Theme Song] It hurt so bad. It feels funny, doesn't it? It doesn't hurt, it just feels really weird. But it's done! You did it Becca! Way to go! OK, let's go Sarah! Did you kind of have a rough time with the test? You didn't like the test so much, did you? So last night we had a major thunderstorm move through with lots of lightning And now today we have another one moving through. It's getting cold fast! Poor people that need to bike in the rain. I know, huh?! It is really pouring now, isn't it? Oh my. Look Mommy, this feels so weird. Why? It looks so weird. Its loaded, you've got it loaded funny. How do you have it loaded up? I think maybe don't take...Yoshi's in it. Ohhh! I think we don't take the sharpener or maybe put it in Sarah's backpack. It is nice to take a sharpener, because you girls have so many pencils. Ok, my backpack is so empty I hear somebody working on some piano and its not one of the girls, its Joshua! Show me the song that we are learning. I just know that. Whoa dude, you're doing great! It's good. No, not with your feet though. Did mommy fix it? This is it guys. The last day of school before summer break. Oh my goodness. And America. Whoa, look, I have Becca doing my job today, pushing the bike. So guys, what are you most excited for this summer. Playing in the pool. Playing in the pool in America? What about you Anna? Ah, no! Going to the cool trampoline park. Oh, going to the cool trampoline park. What about you Sarah? Going to hotels. Going to hotels. I can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa. In the whole hotel, I like the breakfast time. Because there is coffee and there's cereal. Oh cool. And eggs. What do you think. Should we do a special, last day kind of celebration? Ok. There we go, what are we going to do guys? What's it going to be? Something from the swing? The amount of preparation that goes into planning an International trip is just insane. We've been planning this for over 3-4 months now. Well, in reality it has been years in the works, and now its time to execute. There's a lot of little last minute things to get together before we go. Joshua, we getting ready for school? It's your last day before summer vacation and we go to America. How exciting, huh? Alright guys. Have a great day. I'll pick you up real soon. I'm on my way back to Shinjuku to pick up our test results so that we can fly. Well, the results are in. We can travel. Alright, now we need to get home and finish our packing. Anna Cakes. On vacation. Sarah! What is that? The results from our tests. Do I have corona? Nope. It says Anna Cakes can travel. And the rest of us too, right? Joshua too. What's the present? Daddy, can I give Joshua his gift? We can travel. I want to get a present. Ok, go upstairs. Should we put it together guys? Alright! Alright, we finished the first part. Should we show everyone? There it is. Ok. Now we need to do the second part. Here, is the ramp that we just finished. What a cool ramp. The other part that we have. Number 3! Alright Big J, you've got number 3? Alright, cut it open. The chomp chomp. Time to build the chomp chomp. Are these all the bags ready to go for tomorrow? Oh! I thought it was Sarah! I was like "Ok, come in!" Taking a rest a little bit. Taking a rest? Summer break rest? Ok so when packing from Japan, what are the things that people love? I don't know what they love, but what I love to give are these tiny little snacks. Especially these that are all individually [wrapped], there are 5 packages of these mixed senbei. Then obviously the pokky, the pretzel stick. I think of them as Japanese. Senbei, the bean senbei. Furikake. Oh yes. Sesame seed dressing. And I love this sunscreen. It's 50 spf so its really strong. But its so silky and smooth. And we bought these little Ebi (shrimp) snacks for my Mother-in-law. And this is a bug repellent. It's gel. Alright. Tomorrow's the big day. Anna Cakes and Sarah Bear. And Joshua, stuffing that mouth full before bed. He had all kinds of crackers and cheese. Oh yum. Yummy. Ok, get in. Beckster's ready. She says let me go to sleep so I can wake up. And be the day that we go to America. Oh yea, that's good. Ok Anna, you can scream now and not get in trouble. Oh my goodness. See you tomorrow in America. Night night. Last night in our own home for a while. Relax. Enjoy some popcorn. And Pride and Prejudice. Do my eyes deceive me? Today is the day. Here we go. Ooooo, and Becca, being a good student. Way to go honey. One more page. One more page? You did good. I'm getting done with the summer skills so I don't have to take it on the airplane, yeah! I already finished it yesterday. You finished yours yesterday? Awesome. I finished mine that I was going to take on the airplane. She's not going to take any on the airplane either. Yeah, that's right. What about the blue notebook? No, we will do that during the quarentine. Oh, that's cool. That's the new one in here, huh? Yeah, and here's how I make the chain chomp fly. Yeah just have to smash him in the drinking water. Let's see. Whoa! You smashed him good. How many, one? No, maybe ... 3. Our last meal before leaving Japan and what did everyone want? Kura sushi. That's right. Let's fill up on sushi. And then go to America. And then go to America. Ok, we are packed. This crazy weather doesn't know if it wants to rain or sunshine. You got your stuff? Your backpack? We're getting ready to go. The last preparations. There's a trash bag right there, please take down. Whoa, alright guys. I think this is about it. Put on your shoes Dude! Let's put on our shoes It's about a 2 hour drive to Narita then get ready for our plane. Well, we got a little bit of traffic but we have plenty of time factored in so it should be alright. Welcome to the road spaghetti. They have several different layers. This is the Tamagawa, guys. This is not the Tama River. This is Tokyo Bay. On my side of the window is bright sun, sun, sun. It's raining on Nate's side. But I still need sunglasses. He still needs sunglasses. Crazy weather. We're in the bus now, right? The bus, from our parking we go to the airport. Ok, just watch where you're going. Good job Anna! Terminal 2 here we go. Look at this place though. It looks abandoned! Well, we found the one. It is long for check in. This flight will be full. There's our airplane. Isn't that a small airplane? It's not small that's plenty big. So just wait and wait and wait. Gonna board here in a bit. Just waiting to get to our seats! Yes! Yes! The next thing is take-off. What do you think? So Sarah, are you looking at our path that we are going to take, huh? What's going on there Anna? How many more hours? Oh, a long time, like 9 hours maybe? Hi big guy? What do you see? Next time...
