  • Hello.

  • My neighbor just came over and she brought me a bunch of mandarins.

  • Meeka look at them so nice of her self love.

  • We love to see it.

  • We love to feel it.

  • There are so many different kinds of self love out there but the kind that means a lot to me and that works for me the most is cooking.

  • If I can put in the time and effort to make a meal, doesn't have to be the craziest thing ever.

  • But if it just is a nice meal that I know I'm gonna enjoy it then that just means a lot to me and it feels great.

  • So this video is a week of me making nice meals for myself for a week.

  • Not every meal.

  • I'm not that dedicated.

  • Anyway.

  • I'm gonna give you over to past Emma and she's gonna take it away with the recipes, go for it.

  • Past Emma.

  • Hello.

  • It's breakfast time for brunch I guess.

  • I don't usually have like a really early breakfast.

  • Usually I'll just do like a brunch kind of thing.

  • Yesterday I'm making the best bread and toast ever.

  • I read a recipe for bruschetta and then I modified it a little bit uh and it's bomb so yeah, we're gonna be making that.

  • So I need to make some pickled onions.

  • They're gonna last me for like the next week or two weeks and I like adding them into everything.

  • So I'm gonna get those started cause they take like a few hours to like a day to be ready.

  • One sad thing about cooking on camera and you can't listen to music because it will disrupt the audio.

  • So I'm just gonna slice up a whole onion, put it in a container, a container.

  • You gotta make sure you don't actually care if it smells like onions for the rest of its life Down to cry.

  • Oh my ah yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • I was always taught that nice keep in your mouth, Just stop crying but is not working.

  • Oh my God.

  • Okay then I combine half a cup of water, half a cup of white vinegar, one tablespoon of sugar, quite a bit of salt and a couple of whole peppercorns.

  • Then I put it on the heat until the sugar has dissolved.

  • Mhm.

  • Okay.

  • And once it's done, I'm just gonna pour a the onions.

  • Now.

  • I'm just gonna leave that out with a little loose leon until it cools down and I'm gonna put in fridge and that's how you make really quick and easy.

  • Pickled onions they last for like, yeah, 1 to 2 weeks immediately.

  • We're gonna be moving on to my favorite toast ever for this.

  • I think you can use a baguette or just normal toast or anything you want.

  • I'm using morning France, which is a birthday, started selling enemy that has no dairy or sugar in it, which is really rare for bread in japan.

  • We have some mini tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, we have some basil which has been growing in my garden and we need olive oil and some of the pickled onions from last time in some of the pickle juice.

  • I'm so hungry.

  • So I'm very excited for this.

  • Okay, I'm just gonna slice these into Hobbes.

  • I really like them when they're super small.

  • I had some that were a little bit bigger and they just, the flavor wasn't as good.

  • So I had to turn the lights on because it's easier for me to see when I cook metaphor in a generous amount of olive oil.

  • Mhm.

  • And I'm going to put in the tomatoes, they freak out of it.

  • It's a lot of water I'm gonna put my bread into.

  • Don't freak out about it.

  • I know.

  • Stop freaking out a little salt with.

  • I want to cook them till they're squishy, basically.

  • Well, it was cooking.

  • I put some of the pickle juice and pickled onions, cut up really small and frazzled and olive oil into a bowl.

  • I'm gonna add the tomatoes, it's gonna mix them in so that the tomatoes can get soaked into that mixture to get him a little quickly.

  • All right, and now this is burning Okay, here's our bread, govern us.

  • Mhm.

  • Okay.

  • Oh, I might do another slice of bread actually with the amount of stuff that I have also really quickly.

  • I'm just going to cut up some fruit to have with the reason I don't put the tomatoes on the bread like immediately is because it makes the bread soggy.

  • So I like to do it just before I put it in my face.

  • Yeah, that's, that's, that's sexy toast right there.

  • Look at that.

  • She's beautiful drachmas.

  • Oh my God, I forgot how amazing this, wow, wow.

  • Okay, I'm gonna eat this and watch something and chill out.

  • Love you.

  • Bye.

  • Hello.

  • Welcome back for you.

  • It's been a few seconds for me.

  • It has been a whole day.

  • I just got back from the gym showers, got more ready and now I'm gonna make a salad.

  • It's a very cloudy rainy day.

  • Today salads.

  • I'm pretty washed and drained some greens in my face.

  • This salad is gonna be a chicken, tomatoes, capsicum, macadamia nuts, pickled onions, oranges dressing and some going to cut the bread.

  • And also I brought a sweet potato, a little sweet potatoes in Japan come already cooked and very soft and very sweet.

  • So it's kind of like a dessert.

  • I like to put butter on it.

  • First off, I'm going to season the chicken.

  • I'm not going to use all this chicken I think, but I'm just going to have it to go if I want to use it for anything else.

  • I'm gonna use just salt.

  • Oh and paprika.

  • Yeah, I'm just gonna take a little bit of paprika.

  • Yeah, absolutely.

  • I am.

  • The one thing that I love in life is variety.

  • So when I get food, I love to have lots of little things to pick out and different things to try.

  • So that's kind of why I really dig salads because it's just like, there's just so much going on and I'm like, oh, I've had a bite.

  • It is.

  • Maybe I'll have a bite of this.

  • Maybe I'll buy these things together.

  • Very cool.

  • Inspector.

  • Also, I watched Emily in paris and I hated it.

  • I cannot believe how angry that show made me, but it was kind of fun to watch it and be angry, you know?

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • I'm gonna check these into the pan with the oil.

  • It tests one of the pieces of chicken.

  • Yeah.

  • Actually I bought a user dressing.

  • I want to try at home.

  • Oh, that's really good.

  • Mm Using Rosetta.

  • Don't use a luxury dressing cause it's luxury hour every hour.

  • Baby.

  • We have our pickled onions that we pickled yesterday there.

  • So pretty.

  • I see restaurants do it where they put it all in its own section.

  • But I don't know if this looks pretty or not.

  • I don't know if I should just makes it a lot together.

  • It's not looking sexy.

  • It's just looking like a big old full of stuff, you know?

  • And now I'm gonna put just bread shots on it.

  • Yeah.

  • That looks silly.

  • I will.

  • Yes.

  • I don't know how to fix this comment down below or how do you make a salad look sexy.

  • Hello Mother camera ran out of battery.

  • Here's my salad.

  • Oh my God.

  • Mm.

  • Oh my God.

  • This might be the best salad I've ever made in my whole life.

  • That's absolutely amazing.

  • That is so, so good.

  • I love that.

  • I just get to eat this by myself.

  • I can just put whatever I want in food and then I get up.

  • I'm gonna go, This is amazing.

  • 10 out of 10 sometimes just being able to put time and effort into cooking food.

  • It's just insane.

  • Okay, I'm going, I'm going to eat this.

  • Bye bye.

  • Hello.

  • I'm back once again with another thing that I'm going to eat today.

  • I'm doing a salmon and avocado, poke a bowl.

  • Sounds like polka ball from the hit tv show and video game Pokemon.

  • So I'm doing salmon like shredded bits of carrot, cucumber avocado.

  • And I've also got some so touchy centris, I just already put on some rice.

  • I'm gonna take it out and add some vinegar instructive to please be good.

  • It's fine.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm Yeah.

  • Mhm, mm hmm.

  • Mm Yes.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Its first.

  • Yeah, I don't find presentation very difficult.

  • This is something about it.

  • I have a pretty cocky.

  • Mhm I have some seaweed and sesame seeds.

  • Pretty cocky.

  • But I'm going to put on top.

  • Then I'm gonna put soy sauce and let's see that too on top of this.

  • Okay.

  • Here she is.

  • That's pretty, That's pretty.

  • Look at that.

  • Welcome back to another from below angle of my face.

  • Thank you.

  • Mm 40 cock a really changes it.

  • Mm very nice.

  • Hello.

  • Today I'm feeling a bit like I'm gonna make a sandwich.

  • Two sandwiches and potatoes.

  • I just want to sit on the couch.

  • Yeah.

  • And I think this one I'm just gonna cook and not talk too much because I don't feel like it.

  • Yeah, because I feel like talking.

  • I'm just gonna put on my music.

  • You're listening to Jack salva as always.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Stop.

  • Yeah.

  • This keeps turning the potatoes uh for like how long it takes until they're a bit soft and then after they get softer than I can take the lid off and let them crisp up more on the outside.

  • I'm gonna cook some beef with some soy sauce, mirin and sugar.

  • Uh and just flavor it up.

  • Also.

  • I'm going to cook just a few little peppers or capsicum strips as well.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • I'm so hungry.

  • I'm I'm upset.

  • Nothing's really wrong.

  • I'm just hungry.

  • We took some rosemary in the potatoes.

  • I am ready to receive instruction from the realm of creation above me, the sandwich.

  • I am about to conceive that at 135 degrees slice Roma tomato bird from the window.

  • That's boiled eggs.

  • Pickles from my boy pres mo common cucumber now.

  • For some reason it may be.

  • And I really like lingonberry jam on it.

  • Which might sound kind of crazy.

  • But don't knock it till you try it.

  • It's like a super thin layer.

  • Yeah.

  • This is the greatest sandwich I've ever made.

  • Is it glowing?

  • You guys want some, It's cool man.

  • I know you want to eat the whole thing.

  • Let's give it a go.

  • Thank you.

  • Must.

  • Mm really great.

  • Honestly, the jam, it brings it all together.

  • There's not like that extra sweetness and might sound strange.

  • It's really good.

  • It's like if you catch up to something, are you really adding ketchup or you're just adding vinegar and sugar?

  • Once again, I leave you and I'm gonna eat this.

  • See you with the next one.

  • I don't know how many of these are going to everybody.

  • I just got back from the gym and I took a shower and I'm going to make some food today.

  • I'm gonna have salmon rice and all side salad.

  • So I have some fun things.

  • You know, I have the salmon also have the luxurious dressing for my salad.

  • Also I have this, this is using mayonnaise.

  • I don't know if I'm going to use it yet, but if it needs it, I want to give it a try.

  • Also at the super market, they were selling sochi for really cheap, which is another kind of japanese citrus.

  • So I got a bunch of those.

  • So I might just do those with some rosemary from the garden, Some tomatoes and nickels for the salad.

  • And I put some brass on Aaliyah.

  • So that's just cooked and it's just sitting there.

  • So that's the plan?

  • Let's get started.

  • I've already washed my greens for the salad, so that's just up to the side and I'm gonna salt and pep my fish.

  • Oh, I was reading a recipe for pan seared salmon because I always just wing it.

  • But I'm like, you know what?

  • Let's read a recipe and they're like, take the skin off, you can feed it to your dog.

  • I'm like, what the hell?

  • Why you that skin is the best bit.

  • Oh my God, it's so good.

  • How can you, how can you throw away the skin?

  • It's like a fish chip.

  • Why would they do that?

  • Also I have these avocados.

  • I don't know if I'm gonna use them yet because they're very old and this one feels completely destroyed internally.

  • So we're going to open them up and see if they're usable splash.

  • Yeah.

  • Now, while that's cooking, I'm gonna chop things up in the current and some touching.

  • All right, let's see.

  • Are you dead or are you alive?

  • What's your status?

  • Oh my God, you're perfect.

  • Oh, I also have some tomato, Just gonna peel the avocado, then take some tobacco juice, which was probably a bad idea, but uh Oh no.

  • Oh no.

  • What?

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • The salmon is gonna look so jiang ke Yeah, I mean it's fine.

  • The best bits of the ugly bits.

  • These are crispies.

  • You go in the corner, go on the south side.

  • Yeah, I'm gonna go for some user salad dressing.

  • Also when you have a carter, what are you gonna be doing?

  • A elderflower soda with men?

  • So just get some ice.

  • Gonna put some mint leaves in the go for some elderflower syrup from Ikea.

  • That might have been way too much.

  • And then soda water.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm mm hmm.

  • Mhm.

  • Hello.

  • Another weird angle while I eat.

  • Here she is.

  • Oh hell yeah, mm Like I'd using my whoa, took my glasses up.

  • I've been using mayo should be a thing everywhere.

  • That is so good.

  • This is wonderful.

  • And I'm just going to eat the crispy bits four.

  • How did you get this to the dog?

  • This is the best bib.

  • Amazing.

  • Excellent.
