a little bit of a special treat today.
So this restaurant here with this called Mata Tora actually sells a five wagyu comin.
Right wagyu beef ramen is a thing And today we're going to go take a peek, check it out.
So there's a sheet that allows me to customize my ramen.
I'm going to go for strong flavor green onions.
I definitely want some noti or seaweed.
I'm the only in the restaurant right now and to have the upper floor entirely to myself.
It feels like a treat all of its own.
It's since I've ordered the special ramen today, I get kind of my own private little room and they're bringing the ramen and the meat separately so that we can actually get a good shot before before it all melts.
It melts come with still the night when you got a scalable Nice little room.
I've been looking forward to coming to this place for a while and before I jump into the good stuff, I'm gonna start with their cheapest Ramen which is 500 and it's actually it's already it's already coming.
I have a letter.
Alright, so this is their, you know what, let me grab the camera and show this is their cheapest menu item and their most basic but still a little bit unique because the soup base that they use for this is a special Dashi soup base that they make on their own Super 29:00 gender.
Show you them on the, show them on the who told you show me your, does she know know today.
Okay.
And I've never had Dashi domine before.
So we're gonna give it a shot.
This is actually a pretty big bowl of ramen.
I, I might be in for more than I was expecting today.
Mm hmm.
Honestly, even for 500.
I've paid 78, 900 yen for roman.
That's better than this.
The soup base is really flavorful.
This is, I've never been the strongest with describing flavors.
This has a deep and well rounded.
So it's a little bit sweet while being still kind of savory.
It's not the super salty type of ramen and it's not an overpowering flavor either.
That's, that's the best I'm gonna do when it comes to describing foods.
I hope that works.
I skipped every single meal today in the anticipation of eating multiple bowls of ramen.
So despite this being a rather large bowl.
Oh, I am ready for a second.
I am very, yeah.
Very ready for my next goal more than anything though.
I'm just really excited about this.
While you know, I didn't even know this existed until a month or two ago when I accidentally put both words in at the same time.
Okay.
It looks like it's here.
Here we go right to the side.
Mm hmm.
Mongolia.
Okay, dick.
Almost.
It's so beautiful that I don't even want to dig into it and ruin it.
But I guess here we go.
Oh wow.
That's just, that just comes right apart.
Here we go.
Night and day night and wow, the meat flavor takes over absolutely everything.
This, wow, this is incredible.
This, what the ramen itself actually tastes like meet, it's just okay.
You know, we're getting, it's probably cause I'm eating it with meat.
I'm gonna go for just some noodles without any meat whatsoever.
This, this is an experience all of its own.
I don't, I don't even know where to start with this.
This is, this is a treat, this is like the absolute year and treat and the gold itself has no flavor.
Japan has this thing with putting gold flakes on stuff so you can get gold flake ice cream and gold flake Tako yaki and all of that.
Also, you may have noticed, you probably have noticed that they just put it on there, basically ross.
As soon as it gets put on there.
Not only does it start to melt, but the heat of the noodles actually kind of cooks the meat just a little bit.
So I want to start with a little bit.
This truffle salt.
I feel very fancy today, wow, I don't know how to do.
I don't know what to say about that.
Try a bit of this, this truffle oil.
So now I'm gonna give one of these shot.
Okay, this is Cheryl baby.
So it's, it's white shrimp.
Oh, mm hmm that is a totally different dining experience.
It just takes the ramen and turns it into something else entirely.
Honestly, you could sit here with a single bowl of ramen and just have five or six different flavor.
This is incredible.
This is by far the most fun ramen I think I've ever had.
I'm gonna try the red snapper one as well.
I guess it's telling me it is by far the most popular one out of the bunch.
So no dropping your chopsticks just feels so much worse when you're at a really classy place doesn't feel great.
Alright, not great norm.
Here we go.
Red snapper.
Okay, okay.
That makes it, I don't know if you've ever had like red snapper sushi.
It's got a very strong fish taste to it.
And this actually really so this ends up tasting like a very strong fish based ramen, wow, these are fun.
Mm hmm.
While all those flavorings are absolutely fantastic.
I'm not gonna lie.
I have completely falling in love with his truffle oil and salt.
It is such a, such a treat.
I hope you've had some good meals yourself this year.
Once again, thank you so much for joining And you know, I will see you again real soon.
Also, I do understand that for some people, the concept of raw meat may be far beyond your comfort zone.
Our expectations.
And and that's okay.
I'm I'm sure I'll see you in the comments section.
two More home mother tonight.
You know what I should have done and I didn't even think about it until right now.
Do you remember Okazaki's um from the last tiny apartment video.
Mm hmm.
The girl who was studying architecture in university and had so much passion.
She flipped that video around.
I walked into those apartments and was like, what is this?
And she looked at it through such a different like I should have called her up and been like, hey, do you want to let me treat you to a bowl of ramen to thank you.
Maybe we can do another project with her in the future.
I should get in touch.
Alright, coming clean.
I've been sitting here for the better part of an hour trying to finish this while those slices are thin.
That is a substantial meal.
The fact that it was my second bowl might have also had something to do with it.
Honestly, by the time I got through the first slice, I was good.
I was I was I was full the second slice.
It was pure luxury.
