Time is a pretty massive thing. I think Doctor Who, though, is even bigger. I'm here today
on this beautiful morning in Cardiff, Wales for the Doctor Who World tour ahead of series 8.
August 23rd marks the Time Lord's return to TV screens with Peter Capaldi playing the
12th re-imagined Doctor.
A sneak peek of episode one 'Deep Breath' was in town, as were the stars of the show.
We asked Peter if we could expect any action.
I think I'm quite physical, yeah. I do lots of running around and jumping about and stuff
like that.
This guy is an absolute adrenaline junkie. He is not easy to get along with. He kind
of doesn't... He doesn't curtail any of his personality for humans. He doesn't have the
time or the patience, so he is a handful, and he really pushes you to the edge of danger,
to the point where it really isn't safe any more.
I took Matt for lunch before I started the show, and he came in in crutches. And I said
what happened to you? He said this show. This show mate, he said.
Here comes the Cybermen. Here comes the Cybermen. Oh, there's a Cyberman! That kid's now in rehab.
With all the wibbly wobbly timey wimey-ness... Is that right? Yeah. In the plot. We reckon
showrunner Steven Moffat must find it really difficult keeping the story straight.
Oh, it's quite simple, really. He pops in the Tardis, goes somewhere else, saves the planet.
In a way, it's quite easy to keep track of it to be quite honest with you.
Oh. Alright then.
Well as you can see by the size of the crowd here today and some of the costumes, people
cannot wait for Doctor Who's season eight. And neither can I. I'm out of here. See ya.
