  • He said 'adapt', which is 

  • a verb. He meant 'adept', an adjectiveADEPTvery skilled, proficient. This

  • 'adept' with the EH vowel. But what he  said was 'adapt', with the AA vowel

  • Now, that's a verb, and it means  'to make suitable to requirements or 

  • conditions, to adjust or  modify fittingly. But what  

  • he meant was 'adept'. She is skilled. Adept, adapt.
