An excellent view of the Hollywood science.

Yeah I've never seen it that close out of all the times I've been in L.

A.

This is the first time I've been this close living here for seven years.

Mhm.

So we're at Lake Hollywood park and this place is great because you get the awesome Hollywood sign right behind you.

So it makes for perfect photo opportunities and we could bring the dogs with us.

So it says that there you're supposed to put them on a leash.

But most dog owners here just have them off leash.

I mean I would say the majority of the people have them off leash although they say you will get a fine if they happen to find if you get caught you will get a fine.

So just keep note of that.

We have read reviews online that somebody did get fine but we don't know how much they just say hefty fine.

Yeah.

Now I'm curious how much is how much is this fine if anybody knows please let us know.

We had no trouble finding parking.

It's just a side street here.

There's not, I don't even know if there's like an actual parking lot but it does say like when you come up here you actually go through a really nice neighborhood in Hollywood.

It's very cute and charming and you're almost like there's something up here and then once you pass through that neighborhood then you see the reservoir.

Like Hollywood lake or I guess it's Hollywood like.

Yeah so I know you'll be parking on a hill and if you don't know how to parallel park, you better learn because you're gonna have to kill the park.

So yeah, I do not know how to parallel park.

So thank goodness Candies with me.

Anyways, it's a beautiful local park.

Um There's several areas like to lay around and picnic.

It's a playground which is actually kind of closed today I think.

Probably close to the pandemic.

That's a nice playground as well.

It's shaded part of our search for finding things to do in Los Angeles with our dogs.

This was one that we wanted to do that was on our list and we're so glad we did it because it's so nice here.

I mean I've been in southern California for seven years now and this is the closest I've gotten to the Hollywood sign.

I've never done the actual hike to the Hollywood sign because I heard it was very strenuous and long and I'm not a very good hiker.

So this is probably as close as I'll ever get and it's really close and it's a beautiful view and you can picnic here and yeah, I love it.

Yeah, so on this end it says rattlesnake area.

Keep out so be careful in the woods around here.

We just found a nice little spot here at the bench.

Candy's gonna run around with Zoe to get some energy out.

You're getting good.

This is where we parked our car.

So there's a whole bunch of cars lined up on the street.

There's candy up there.

We're gonna go up around that corner because we saw some people taking pictures up there of this wine too.

But yeah, look at that.

The Hollywood sign.

Look at kuma, getting attention.

Zoe wants to say hi to you.

Yeah, Zoe loves attention.

You can come up here just right up the hill and get an even closer look at the Hollywood sign.

So that's the Hollywood sign.

Even closer you can do some fun trick photography shots.

You guys want climbers.

We got both of them whenever Zoe rock climbs kuma has to try to, she's like I could do that.

So down there is the reservoir and then you'll see Los Angeles in the background over there.

But that's lovely Smog and there's the patrol car.

They are serious about patrolling here already saw them not ticket anybody but they yelled at somebody for smoking because you're not supposed to smoke here.

Okay, so that was a fun little stop that we did at Lake Hollywood park.

So yeah, you can go up the hill a little bit more and that's where I think the majority of the people are taking a picture with the sign.

Um but we actually like the park view um with the grass underneath us.

I think that makes for a prettier picture I think and then we noticed that there's a lot of people parking like way before that lake Hollywood park I guess people just love to hike you know, so they parked pretty far and then just hike up to that area if you're a hiker that's what you can do here to.

Also we did see the patrol lady and they are hardcore with patrolling there, so do not smoke, you're not supposed to smoke there.

Um Park the correct way.

Although they were that um was strict about it, I didn't see anyone getting tickets for parking.

Candy was more strict about it than the patrol lady was.

Um But they are patrolling back and forth but they didn't patrol the park like that.

We didn't see her get out of the car and scolding anybody for having the dogs off leash.

So that was a plus.

Yeah, that was a nice plus.
