  • Hi there! Jennifer from Tarle speech with  your question of the week. And this is

  • actually a quick tip. Got a question  recently how do you pronounce s t

  • l e and we have a few silent letters hereWe have a silent t and we have a silent

  • e. So when you see this s-t-l-e you're  going to think about saying sul sul sul.

  • So to say that, the tip of your tongue is behind  the back of your top front teeth and are pointing

  • down. Air moves out of your mouth continuouslyThen you're going to move to that short uh.

  • Really short, really relaxed, really quick  vowel. You're going to say that as you move

  • your tongue to the back of your top front teeth  and you're going to hold it there. Technically

  • right on that spot between where your teeth meet  the skin of the roof of your mouth. Sul Sul Sul.

  • If this is hard for you, keep in mind a few  things. Make sure your tongue is far enough

  • forward for that UL. You don't want it way back  there. Also some people make this L out of their

  • mouth with their tongue touching the bottom of  the top front teeth that is fine too. Sul Sul

  • Sul. Also you might want to smile as you  are saying Sul to make sure that your

  • lips are pulled back enough because some  people will pucker their lips a little too

  • much and then it sounds just like a vowel  and no l. So let's try this in some words

  • castle wrestle

  • whistle apostle

  • castle wrestle

  • whistle apostle

  • So give it a try I know people are  going to notice the difference.

  • You know what I like! Give us a like, andshare, and a subscribe. And if you need help,
