- Good morning
It is 6am on a Sunday
and today's video is going to be...
(Levi babbling)
- Hiiii~!
Helloooo! (both laughing)
Oh, wow!
Excellent... Wow!
Okay!
(whispering) What's that? What's that?
Good morning!
Okay, so the first thing I do when I get him up
is change his diaper and then I feed him
Okay, now it's time for my coffee
and for that, I go to my new coffee bar in my bathroom
It's the place where all things loud go
So here I have my coffee machine
We have, on this side, the blender
Naptime is sacred in this house
I unplug the phones
Everything loud comes into here
which is the furthest room from Levi's room
and that is just how it's got to be
(rattling coffee pods) Wooooow
Hi! (Levi babbles) Huh?
I drink one cup of coffee a day now
I started, I think about a month and a half after I gave birth
I tried it and it didn't seem to affect Levi, so, yeah
One cup a day works wonderfully for me
It does wonders
So now we usually sit and talk
and have some quiet playtime
So I usually just give him a toy
He loves these right now because he can grab them
so this one and he likes this ball
(Levi babbles) - Yeah!
What do you wanna do today?
Hmmm? Huh? (Levi laughs)
You wanna go outside for a walk?
Yeah, it's a nice day!
Okay, we can do that! (Levi babbling)
Uhhuh? [TOM - Babe]
- Oh, Grandma
Hi! [- Oh, there's a little angel!] - Hi!
[- Hi, there! How are ya?]
(music)
- Let's get changed~ There we go! There we go!
(Levi babbling) - Oh, okay! (more babbling) - Yeah?
These diapers are getting a little bit too small
but I have one pack left so I don't want to waste them
(Levi babbling) - Mmhmm!
You always want to fluff up these points around the legs
because it helps to prevent any leaks
This is very important
(laughing) Okay!
The first thing I do is grab this, it's a gauze
and I use it to brush his teeth
Carol taught me this and I've done it since day one
so that he gets used to brushing his teeth
and it helps to remove any of the milk residue
or any of the bacteria inside of his mouth and tongue
I also have this reusable one
It's just a little bit big
I'm slowly trying to get him used to this and switch from this
But when he was a newborn, I always used this gauze
So I just dip it in the warm water
Okay! Ahhhh~
See, he's very used to it
And I just clean his tongue, his gums, his cheeks
Yeah!
And then I will take a cloth and I'll wipe his face
So I'll use one side to do his eyes
Just get out all the gunk
and then I'll flip to the other side to do half of his face
and we do the chins
(cooing) The beautiful beautiful chins, yes!
and then I'll flip to the other side, do the eye
The other half...
(Levi babbling) Yeah! There we go!
This is the cream I use for him
It's Stelatopia by Mustela
This was developed for babies with eczema
so it's very very good for sensitive skin
and there's no fragrance or anything inside
It makes his skin super soft
Actually I stole some for myself
and that's what I use now on my body and face because...
I don't know, I squish my face against his all the time
Actually, that's not really the reason
I just, I love the smell
It smells like him and it just feels really nice
And if it's good for baby skin, it's gonna be good for our skin
(Levi babbles)
- (laughing) Do I have a baby dino?
Do I have a baby dinosaur?
If you want to see in more detail what I have going on here
I'll link an Instagram video I made below
I think all I added was these changing pads
These I don't change every time I change him
I just throw it away when they get dirty
Are we ready? One, two, three!
And then this pillow
This is to help with flathead
because Levi has a little bit of a flat head going on
It happened at birth
I think getting his head out of me was very difficult
and then it hasn't gotten rounder...
It's slowly getting a little bit rounder
his doctor said there's nothing to worry about
especially when he sits up more and crawls and stuff
It will naturally form
We just have these pillows around
to help with that when he's laying flat
Also I haven't showed you guys his nursery yet
because it's not done
All we have is big furniture everywhere
and I'm still deciding how I want to place it
I rearrange it practically every week
so once I decide that, I'm gonna put the final touches
and like little decor pieces on it and then it will be done
I don't know how that... how long that's gonna take me
but it's on my to do list
and then I will do an official nursery tour
Right now, it's just exactly what he needs
very functional stuff, but it doesn't look pretty
He's up...
22 minutes
Who slept for all of 22 minutes today?!
Huh?! Was it this guy?!
(laughing)
What kind of nap was that?
Do we feel refreshed anyways?
We'll try again later? Yeah?
Oh...
Oh!
Did you have a nice dream?
So Tom's out there playing with him
I'm going to take 15 minutes to get ready
I'm doing my makeup today because I'm shooting some content
I'm going to shoot some other short videos as well as this one
And I always just feel a lot more like myself when I do my makeup
which really goes a long way these days
because I feel like I'm still in the transition period
where I'm a new mother and I'm also me, the past me
So I'm trying to merge those two together
and figure out who this ... who this new Taylor is
that incorporates both
And I just find that doing the things that I loved to do
and still love to do, like my makeup or putting on an outfit
makes me... just makes me feel good and put together
But this isn't the case for every day
Some days are just like a mess and the day just flies by
and I don't even know what happened
I haven't even brushed my teeth, brushed my hair
gotten dressed or anything like that
So I'm going to try and have a very put together day
but just know that it's not the case the majority of the time
There was a quick change because he spit up on himself
a feeding, a pumping session
I got changed
And now I'm gonna put my bun into a more sleek version
My hair is starting to fall out... which isn't alarming me
because I was mentally prepared for it
I knew it was coming and it's not like a lot
It's just... I feel like it's a normal amount
During pregnancy, a lot of people's hair doesn't fall out at all
and that's how it becomes a lot thicker
So I feel like now it's just those hairs that didn't fall out
are all starting to fall out
I don't notice a difference in the thickness yet
Maybe it's still coming
The place I notice it the most is my hairline like look at that
We are ready to go wash some dishes
(Levi babbling)
- Yeah? Can you get it? Can you get it?
Wheeeee!
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten!
That's so good!
(babble) - Yes?
Yes?
I'm struggling with naps right now
He only will take cat naps during the day
like maximum 30 minutes, as you saw, if I put him in his crib
If I hold him, it's like an hour to two hours
His nights are really good, thankfully
So he'll do like 2.5-3 hours max during the day
So we're working on that
We're working on the independent sleeping
We're not there quite yet but, um
It's just fine, it's gonna be fine
Are we matching today?
Sleep, eat, active play, quiet play
diaper changes, burp, rock back to sleep
We repeat like the same six or so things
throughout the entire day, over and over and over again
So what are we going to do now?
Let's listen to your favourite song
It's actually my favourite song to perform
(Frozen's Let It Go playing) The snow glows white on the mountain tonight...
[TOM - Babe!] [ROSIE - Woof]
[ROSIE - (barking)]
Don't let them see, be the good girl you always have to be
Let it go, let it go!
Cold never bothered me anyway...
Oh, huh? Can you see yourself?
It's almost lunchtime
So I'm going to order something
Our go-to lunch is this Japanese bowl
We eat it all the time
They have salmon, beef, pork or chicken
Salmon or chicken?
What do you want to eat? Through breast milk
Chicken?
Chicken? Salmon?
Rosie, you like the chicken?
Okay, sister chose!
Sister chose chicken!
Okay
Oh, that's a good sit!
When his eyebrows get a little bit red
that's a good indication that he's getting tired
Is somebody getting tired?
This is my lunch
I'm gonna add half an avocado on top
It's a chicken bowl
Every day, it's kind of a little bit different with the vegetables
and then there are some Japanese pickles, an onsen egg
And this shop is called KOME Corner
They have locations all around Hong Kong
And then it also comes with a side of miso soup
and just... I love it!
[TOM - Oh my God!]
[Oh!] - (laughing) Is it bad?
[- Euuughhhh, monster poo! Ack! Eck!] - (laughing)
[- He peed!] - On you?
[- A little bit]
- Oh my god, it's on the wall
[- Really] - Yeah [- Oh, my god...]
(Levi whimpering)
- That's okay! That's okay!
We'll clean it up! (Levi babbling)
[- He doesn't know what to do... "What are you guys doing?"]
Right now Levi's wake windows
are usually about an hour and a half
so from the point that he wakes up from the nap
to the point he goes down for his next nap is an hour and a half
We're almost there now
We're pretty exhausted too
So we're all just going to kind of lay down, watch a movie
(music)
We ended up falling asleep
Well, Levi did, I was just laying there
And he slept two hours! So yay!
But I didn't get anything done today that I planned on getting done
I didn't shoot any of my short videos
which has been happening a lot lately
which is why I'm really slow to upload content
but I'm trying to remind myself that it will happen
He won't need me as much really soon
He just needs me a lot really right now
so I'm just trying to soak in these moments and do the best I can
but be there for him as much as he needs me and... yeah
I've wanted this for so, so long
and it's finally here so I don't want to...
I don't want to miss a moment
We are going to go for a walk now
I got my T-shirt on, it's pretty warm outside
Get some sunshine, some fresh air
This is Levi's favourite book
He can't see in colour yet
I think that happens around four months
But he can see black and white
so these high contrast books are really good
And this one's a really cute one by Loryn Brantz
My assistant bought it for him actually
For every one of our wishes
for every bump along the way
Now that you're here, we've known all along
It had to be you!
At around 9:30... 9:30
At around 5:30pm
We start the mor... Whoa!
At around 5:30pm, we start the nighttime routine
I'm not going to go into detail... into it ...
Oh my God, I need to go to bed
At around 9... at around 5:30pm we start the nighttime routine
I'm not going to go into too many details in this video
but if you want a specific nighttime routine video
Let me know below in the comments
but it's basically a bath, a feeding and some quiet time
and then bed
So I'm going to prepare the bath stuff now
Okay! It's bath time!
Bath time, bath time!
[TOM - Okay, come here! Come here!]
There we go!
All right, Levi is in bed now
It is seven o'clock
I'm gonna do a little bit of my stretches
My posture is horrible now
from just like breastfeeding and carrying him
So I always try to stretch it out at night
and I like using a foam roller
because it feels really good to do this one specific pose
to just like open up my back and chest
(sigh of relief)
This right here (sighing)
I feel like my head is always forward and looking down
either at Levi or my phone or something
so then just pulling my head... like pulling it back
and pushing my spine forward and then opening up my chest
Ugh, oh my gosh
And if you roll a little bit
It's almost like getting a massage
Sometimes I just put on a podcast
and just lay here like this for like 10, 15 minutes
I just feel everything just opening up
and like pulling it apart in a good way
like the tension
Time for me to take a bath
I'm going to have my last pumping session
and then I'm going to go to bed
I go to bed at 9:30pm lately?
Definitely before 10 because I'm up at like 6, 6:30 every day
Thank you so much for watching
I will see you guys in my next video!
Bye!
