Five years later, the plants produce cherries for about 60 years. The coffee beans are found inside the cherries When ripe, the cherries are picked and left to dry in the sun, their moods so they dry evenly. It takes 2 to 3 weeks for the beans to fully dry. Once they're dry, they're ready to be roasted to make coffee. Brazil is the world's biggest producer of coffee, producing a third of the total worldwide production.
