Homophones are words that are spelled differently, have different meanings, but are pronounced exactly the same way. We have some fun words today. We have the word whoa which is an exclamation um of alarm and woe which is sorrow or distress Two sounds in these words. We're going to start with that w. To do that pucker your lips. Tongue is just flat in the middle of the mouth. There's not much space for it to be anywhere else. And then we're gonna add that o. To do that you're gonna open your mouth in a wide oval and then move to a pucker. Again your tongue will move to low in the front, high in the back, and then end up right flat in the middle of the mouth again. Let's put it all together: w-o whoa woe whoa woe whoa And now for a sentence: whoa I've had enough of your tales of woe. Give it a try I know people are going to notice the difference.
