Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles - Hey everyone, it's Cody Simpson here. Just gonna be showing you my nighttime skincare, body care, pre-bed routine. Come to bed with me. (gentle uplifting music) First step for me, sometimes, is I'll have a shave. But I don't need to do that today. cause I'm still pretty clean shaven here. But I'm often getting back from the pool and training, cause I swim competitively, professionally, and I'm in the chlorine all the time. So I usually get home from training about 6, 6:30 at night and my skin's often really really dry, and I'll often still have chlorine on my face. So I usually like to start off with a really simple face wash. This is Handsome Men's Skincare, not tested on animals, only on the handsomest of men. And I find this one really works for me. It's very simple. Hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. I usually start off with this just to get all the crap and the chlorine off my face when I get home from training. Kind of scrub for about- better set the water there. Cause if you care about your skin, and you care about the planet as well, you're pretty cool. Lather up for about 30 seconds, turn the water on and splash it off. I learned about skincare from my mom and my sister. I think that helped a lot. Having them around to kind of teach me what to do. And I think from girlfriends too, I've learned things. I was in the sun a lot, in the ocean a lot, in the pool a lot. I go through periods of time where I didn't care that much about it and ended up getting sort of, you know, really dry skin. I sort of saw the effects taking place in real time and realized that I needed to turn something around and make sure I took care of myself as I got older. So I'm much more knowledgeable and informed now. Once I'm all fresh faced and clean, got the chlorine off me after training, I usually like to use what's next which is this also Handsome Men's Skincare Facial Moisturizer. On the back here, they say, "You're a man and you want your skin to feel nice. That's okay." And it is okay. I usually like to try and brush upwards. It makes you feel a little more awake. You're trying to defy gravity a little bit. I wish there was a cure for these goggle marks, but unfortunately that's just how it goes. Also, I should probably start wearing sunscreen. This is what happens when you're in the pool for four hours a day. The chlorine seems to bleach my eyebrows and my hair. And there's not a whole lot I can do about that, but I do what I can. I have a little three step body moisturizing process that I've started doing that has really helped me. You're in the pool for so long and I'll get dry skin to the point of the skin like burning and it'll just be ashy and stinging all the time. So I found like this has really helped. Usually start with this Necessaire Body Serum, Le Serum Corps, I think. If you're French, you can say it like that. I usually use it before moisturizer, just for the added hydration purposes. Hydration being important all around. I often get judged by people for how aggressively I rub things in to my face and my body, like lotions. And it's just how I roll. It is just how I roll. So you can basically apply that all over. You can get somebody do it on your back. You've got your partner, your spouse, your girlfriend, boyfriend, whatever you can get them do back and your legs. I can do my legs. I get dry there too. I get dry everywhere, being in the pool. So I have seen dermatologists in the past. I don't very often. I find that my sort of lifestyle choices and my diet choices as well, seem to help my skin. Like I don't get a ton of pimples or acne. I try to avoid oily foods, foods that cause inflammation. I do have this little one pimple right here, which it sits on my goggle mark, which I can't get rid of, cause I wear these goggles for hours a day. So it just keeps coming back, which is really annoying. But sometimes I'll put toothpaste on my pimples to get them going and to dry 'em out. The trusty old toothpaste trick. I saw SAINt JHN's video, of his getting ready to go to bed with me. I'm a big fan of his, and he's talking about how it's cool to care about his skin, it's cool to want to look good. It's cool to wanna not get old quicker than you have to. And skincare is a huge part of that. I take pride in it now. So after the body serum, I like to use this body oil. It's full of plant oils. Again, Necessaire Body Oil. Very, very nice. They are a part of the 1% for the planet. So buying products like these, supporting good causes as well. I just like to apply it all over my body. Feels really nice. It's kind of like a nice, clear clean oil. You're getting a lot of nice nutrients, absorbing into your skin. Sometimes I like to just chop a little bit on my cheek, so I look a little bit shiny. Follow whatever protocol you prefer, I usually go arms, chest, and then legs last. Can't see 'em but they're down here. I do have legs. Lastly, is your trusty body lotion, which is multivitamin body lotion. Very simple. My holy grail product, if I was stranded on a desert island, I'd probably want the body lotion. So I was thinking about being stranded around island. I probably would be getting really sunburned, spending a lot of time in the sun. The best way to heal from a sunburn is moisturizing, especially cause I just get the driest skin you've ever seen. You don't want see me as dry as I have been before. Face is looking okay. That's about as much as I can do to fix this, whatever's going on here. Now for a couple things, just to finish off before I go to sleep that are unique to me. One being Ear Clear and Eardrops. These a little Highlands Earache Drops. Cause I get a lot of water stuck in my ears. It's very, very easy when you're in the water all the time to get earaches and also to get ear infections. So I like to sometimes put 'em in my ears before I go to bed and hit the pillow. As an athlete, as a swimmer, it's very important to have healthy air passageways. I found this really cool product called Rocket Fuel. I actually just got it at a cool farmer's market here in Australia, down the road. I tend to get sort of heavy sinus problems. So this helps me breathe well when I'm asleep which helps and aids in my recovery for coming off a big session and going straight back and training in the morning. I like to make sure I'm getting as much oxygen in when I'm sleeping as possible. I usually put about 10 drops on my tongue and call it a night. Woo. So that is my night time skin care routine. Thank you so much for watching. As many of you may know, I'm also a musician and I just dropped an album last month called "Cody Simpson." Self-titled and it's out now. So make sure you check it out, and I hope you all have a beautiful night. Cheers.
