Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial.
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I am very glad to see you again.
Today we will draw a dinosaur.
We start by sketching with pencil or a mechanical pencil, the general
shape of the head.
Like this...
The ferocious fangs [laughs].
This is actually going to be a mechanical dino, similar to the one
in the Transformers movie, ¨Age of Extintion¨.
The eye goes a little bit further back, here.
Good!
And on the back has these protruding things,
each maybe different.
Let´s make it even sharper and then... we can start shading.
Very good!
As we go, we can keep correcting the shape, giving more detail
and shading.
Now with a white pencil or in this case I am using a white pastel,
let´s give it some reflections.
As our monster is made out of metal, it will have a lots of them.
This is very fun to do!
To reinforce some of the darkest shadows, I will use a black
out of the color pencils.
I will be using the black on the head area, and not so much on
the neck or the part of the body that will be visible, because I want
the head to really stand out over the rest.
While the neck and body will stay more flat with the graphite pencil.
You may use a light yellow for the pupil, and an orange and a red for the iris.
This will give you an evil dragon like eye.
Let´s keeping reinforcing some shadows, with the black.
It will have a lot of plates and parts, one top of the other one.
It is really fun to do this type of drawing!
I love it!
The list of materials is in the information bellow the video.
Let´s continue doing more detail, more shadows and therefore,
more volume.
Some reflections over here for the metallic quality.
And now let´s really have fun designing some new parts
and mechanical shapes, on it.
You may copy the same or create your own beast [laughs].
As I mentioned to you earlier, I´ll do this part with the pencil.
We are nearly there.
Let´s give it some last touches and it´s ready!
