Summer's mum is a radio presenter in Coventry she  wants Summer to be something she's not and that's  

very clear from the first time you actually  see Summer in the entire show you can see how  

Summer's mental state is affected a lot by her mum  look at your gorgeous mum all over Cov Now okay

quite controlled parenting not really  letting someone be who she wants to be

so go on then who are you

whoever my mum wants me to be Summer has anxiety  and in the episodes as they go on you see her  

develop signs of OCD and we have a behavior  mentor joining us soon you'll be under her care  

like a stray cat with a poorly paw

and with the characters around her it's  like really beautiful to see how they all  

come together to help Summer support her it's  a gorgeous show but then also the story lines  

and stuff are really important being a mixed  race girl as summer being the love interest 

it's not even mentioned about her being mixed  race which I think is amazing got that for you

if I was younger watching this and I saw this  like the mixed race girl was like the love  

interest I would like I didn't have that when I  was little I think the way that her story's kind  

of portrayed in the show is going to be really  inspiring I've learned a lot from playing her
