  • The Ma-Tzu Temple of USA(美國媽祖廟朝聖宮)- also known as  the San Francisco Mazu Temple, was founded in 1986  

  • by Kao Ke-ta, a Taiwanese immigrant from Beigang  Town, and Xing Renyou, a qigong fitness expert.

  • Their mission was to continue  the worship of Mazu in America,  

  • and to promote Mazu's virtues of  saving the world and benevolence.
