  • Well, hello everyone.

  • The traditional craft has existed within the old pagan religions of early Britain since the earliest of times.

  • Through the revivals of various periods, including the revival of the 1930s and 40s, the craft has entered a modern era, and it became seamlessly part of the daily lives of modern traditional crafters.

  • Embedded within the modern craft are the directions and purposes of the craft.

  • To new seekers, this may not be fully obvious, yet these directions and purposes are integral to the craft.

  • Today I will talk about two different forms of meditation we're going within.

  • I'll begin by talking about the magical life, which is a colorful term I rather like, but it is a little bit dramatic perhaps.

  • For the most part, those in the craft today are wrapped up in the practical aspects of what we know and love so well.

  • The appreciation of nature, herbalism, the use of magic or the direction of energy for different purposes, and self-improvement and development.

  • All of these are key, and all To achieve this, the first thing that is taught is the first level of going within trad meditation.

  • Others might call it concentrative meditation.

  • All of the practices of magic, including spellcraft, is dependent on trad meditation.

  • This form of basic meditation is for the purpose of learning visualization.

  • This is at the very heart of what we do, and it is a very powerful means of directing energy for whatever purposes you may desire.

  • If you're new, completely new to the craft, you can take a free mini-course on meditation that will teach you the fundamentals.

  • There is no charge.

  • This course will also teach you a few basic techniques in self-protection.

  • Self-protection is very, very important.

  • Therefore, if you learn to meditate elsewhere, and you begin studying the trad craft, it is important that you first learn protective meditative spells.

  • They're easy to do, but you have to learn how to do them, and you have to do them.

  • The course can be found on the Blue Moon Manor website, and if you use that route, then I would ask you to please do not skip ahead.

  • Take each of the lessons completely, and practice as I direct, so that you can learn and ease into meditation in a good manner.

  • You can also register for the mini-course, and it will be delivered to you by email.

  • Again, you go to the Blue Moon Manor homepage, and simply register.

  • If you register, then you also get the newsletter, which will be delivered at the beginning of the completion of the mini-course.

  • All meditative or meditation instructions, the website, and the newsletter are provided for free.

  • Now, let's go on to something else, namely spirit travel.

  • For many in the trad craft, contact with the spirits is central.

  • In fact, many would consider it to be taking one step at a time in learning the craft, but it is very important.

  • Spirits can visit us in our dreams and provide information and direction, especially if we ask before we go to sleep.

  • Some of us learn to lucid dream, which is another way of accessing spirits.

  • I've been lucid dreaming actually for decades, and I didn't even know it was called lucid dreaming until I saw some videos by Rhys Jones, whom I humbly thank.

  • I didn't know what I was doing had a name, much less what happened studied and like this, but yeah, it can be very effective.

  • Just like in dreams, we can ask for spirits to come to us in a lucid dream, and in that state, they can interact with us in a dialogue.

  • There are techniques used to encourage the occurrence of lucid dreaming, and there are techniques to improve the quality of our lucid dreams.

  • Some of us go beyond the basic trad meditation and visualization needed for spellcraft, and use a different and deeper transform of meditation in order to access spirits.

  • This is called trad meditation.

  • I'm going into something different now.

  • This is not lucid dreaming.

  • It requires a different type of meditation, which means you have to learn a second way of meditating in order to do this.

  • Trans meditation allows us to astral travel, or to cross the hedge, or hedge ride, whatever you want to call it.

  • It is all shamanic journeying.

  • Those who take this route, and you don't have to if you're in a craft, but it is beneficial if you do.

  • Those who take this route become aware that meditation must conform to deeper trance work, as access to the other world requires a much deeper trance than that which is used in common spellworkings.

  • Therefore, trad meditation is not adequate.

  • Therefore, trance meditation must be learned.

  • For new crafters, learning to do deep trance is a special problem, as trance meditation is different than trad meditation.

  • Trad meditation centers on visualization.

  • Trance meditation does not.

  • However, in order to better access the spirits and to master astral travel, or crossing the hedge, trance meditation must be mastered.

  • And again, I want to emphasize, this is a completely different method of meditation, and trance meditation is formed with a clear or empty mind.

  • It is really like relearning meditation, but it is necessary if trance for astral or spirit travel.

  • So therefore, to be clear, you may be wondering what to do.

  • And if you're new to the craft, I would advise you that it is preferable to learn and master one form of meditation at a time.

  • Therefore, for those interested in learning the traditional to begin training in visualization.

  • Then, at some future point, if you have completely mastered visualization techniques and are utilizing them on a regular basis, blah blah blah, then you can start learning trance meditation.

  • And again, there is no hurry.

  • You can take your time, but decide not to learn trance meditation, as the spirits are already available to you in dreams and lucid dreaming.

  • And that is perfectly fine.

  • It's all up to you.

  • Well, so that is the end of this video.

  • I bid you well.

  • Until next time, bye.

Well, hello everyone.
