  • Out of Mongolia's slightly over 3 million residents, 1.3 million live in Ulaanbaatar, the nation's economic, cultural and political hub. It is home to a number of tourist attractions and the most diverse range of entertainment. Although Ulaanbaatar is not always the most straight four-door city to traverse, with a little patience, tourists can take care of all of their logistical needs, visit top-notch museums, see traditional theatre and eat food from all over the world and party till 3 in the morning. In fact, your Mongolian adventure may have been most pleasantly surprised by this dynamic metropolis. There are 122 khorus and 9 districts in the city. In addition to being surrounded by four holy mountains with dense pine woods on the northern slopes and green steppes on the southern slopes, Ulaanbaatar is situated on the bank of the Tuul River. Ulaanbaatar, which is frequently described as sunny, calm and open, is a city of contrast where modern life harmoniously coexists with Mongolian traditional living. Monasteries, traditional theatres and archaeological museums have begun to take advantage of Mongolia's rich historical legacy, resulting in a distinctive fusion of the antiquated and the contemporary, and the entirely unanticipated. Ulaanbaatar has a lot to offer, whether you're travelling to Beijing or straying in a yurt on the steppes. The town was first established as a

  • Buddhist centre for nomads and has previously been governed by Russia. As you walk throughout the city, you'll see a mix of Chinese and more Soviet-style structures.

  • While you're enjoying these awesome drone shots, don't forget to like and subscribe and ring the bell. We are posting videos like this twice a week and we would hate for you to miss it.

  • Ulaanbaatar is a special city that exemplifies two distinct ways of existence. Visitors arriving from the Genghis Khan airport or by train to the main railway would not miss the thousands of traditional Mongolian gers in the area, an area referred to by locals as Ger District, which shows a glimpse of the nomad lifestyle. Karakorum at the Kempinski is a local favourite for rich meat stews and minced lamb dumplings. At the same time, Lunablanka offers an interesting and filling vegetarian twist on the food of the country. Ulaanbaatar's eating scene, though, is becoming increasingly diverse thanks to fantastic northern Indian restaurants like Namaste and European cafes like Turning Point, where delicious food and jazz are combined.

  • The two largest supermarkets in the capital of Mongolia are Nomin and Orgil, but there are grocery stores everywhere and Mercury Market is a good place to get international treats.

  • Fruit and vegetables are frequently imported, though their prices may be somewhat high, but overall the city is quite affordable. You can anticipate a young, dynamic metropolis that goes far beyond the nomadic herders. You'll have plenty of opportunity to get to know out in the countryside thanks to Asian and Western influences and progressive residents who are on the leading edge when it comes to fashion, music and culture.
