  • Tis the season for thrills and chills with nights filled with creepy characters and spine-tingling encounters.

  • So, if you're looking to get into the spirit, we've got the place for you.

  • After all, what's scarier than a haunted clown house?

  • Rachel Manitoff, live in Burbank tonight to give us a peek at that and some of the other scary stuff out there.

  • Rachel?

  • Rick, Cher, yes, we have found probably the scariest and most popular Halloween-themed home in all of Burbank.

  • This is the clown house.

  • It has gone viral on TikTok, draws more than a thousand people on any given night, and it was created by a Hollywood set designer, if you couldn't already tell.

  • This Magnolia Park neighborhood is really making a name for itself as the place to be on Halloween, and we're getting a first-hand look at the large crowds taking in all of these incredible sights.

  • Burbank's spookiest haunts are officially open to the public.

  • That is, if you're brave enough to traverse this yard filled with murderous clowns and jump scares at every move.

  • This is incredible.

  • Yes.

  • This display, what was the inspiration?

  • I think for us, it was Pennywise and Stephen King, 1985.

  • That started the clowns.

  • Larry and Gary Lane and their roommate Mike Bowen are the creators of the clown house, which is known to tens of thousands of their social media followers.

  • We had no idea.

  • We built it, and we don't know what's going to happen, and it just blew up.

  • We're so excited for that.

  • While it's obviously the scariest time of year, it's also probably one of the most creative ones for people who live within this two-mile radius.

  • What are you anticipating Halloween weekend?

  • Madness.

  • This weekend, it's going to be crazy.

  • And then Halloween, I mean, you could hardly walk through the streets.

  • Magnolia Park is a town right next to Hollywood Studios and in the midst of the entertainment capital of the world, and it takes Halloween decorations to a whole new level.

  • I've lived here my entire life, and when I was a kid, there was some displays, but every year it just gets bigger and bigger, and there are new houses all the time with new stuff.

  • Colin Morgan Lee spends weeks sewing, painting, gathering, and repurposing household items to create his masterpiece of a haunted pirate picnic.

  • But it's really cool that there's like a community, and every night people come, walk on the streets.

  • It'll be 11 at night, and I'll just pass by the front door and I'll hear people talking about it outside.

  • Then there's Monica Carrillo, who maps out her vision as early as the summer.

  • I've been into Halloween for such a long time, so this is the way I get to express it.

  • People in the area buy several pounds of candy, only to be wiped clean by 8 p.m.

  • The interest and intrigue in this L.A. suburb has exploded in the last few years, which

  • Jennifer McCreery says definitely has its pros, but also some cons.

  • She never anticipated that her dragon house would become such a well-attended attraction.

  • I really enjoy that we have a funky, fun neighborhood that gets really into the spirit of things, and I just really hope that people who come to see it are respectful of the fact that it's people's homes.

  • And to Jennifer's point, the clown house does try to shut down by 10 o'clock so as not to disturb the rest of the neighborhood.

  • It's been such a hit, so it is going a little bit past curfew tonight.

  • I also want to share some helpful advice from the city of Burbank.

  • It really wants people to embrace the Halloween spirit, but prioritize safety, so make sure that your clothes, you're wearing reflective clothes, that you've got a flashlight, and that you're watching out for traffic because we have seen quite a bit of it tonight.

  • That's the latest from Burbank.

  • I'm Rachel Menetoff.

  • Cher, Rick, back to you in studio.

  • All of them good tips.

  • Rachel, thanks for that.
